Taking the LSAT overseas

Post by pdgeese » Fri May 16, 2014 5:04 am

Hi all, does anyone know if there are any differences (grading/administering/content) between the US LSAT and the ones administered overseas? I am currently planning to take the June LSAT internationally and noticed that the date that it will be given is much later than in the US and was wondering if anyone knew of any differences. Thanks!

International tests are nondisclosed and they use a different test/test-form in terms of content/questions than test US/N. America testers get for same administration. No need to worry though, it's just another same LSAT standardized the same way as disclosed test-forms for scale and everything with Q and game types and everything, there is nothing different/unusual compared to standard US disclosed test-forms. Sometimes undisclosed US Feb tests have been administered internationally at a different administration. They don't write tests specifically to be international vs US ones. They are all assembled from the same item pool with the same test assembler program and test specs, put through the same experimental testing processes, etc.

They just have to use different test-forms for international locations to prevent cheating due to time zone differences and sharing info about the games and other stuff to gain unfair advantage using internet/social media, and as a consequence since they have to re-use tests to have enough to prevent cheating, it's nondisclosed so you never get to see how many you missed or a breakdown by section or any details, only your scaled score.
