LSAT study schedule help

Postby stef1330 » Mon Feb 10, 2014 10:42 pm

Ok so here's the scenario; I need at least 3 hours of LSAT study for the next 100 days at least. My schedule, although it allows it, does not give me the best studying I can have. Whenever I study I feel like I am about to pass out I am so tired. Can anyone give me some advice? (Either in moving the schedule around or being able to stay awake during study?)

Also- if it says "study" (not LSAT) that means for my current college classes.

Here was how mine went while in school:

4:45AM - wake up and have coffee
5:00AM-7:00 AM - LSAT
7:00AM-7:30AM - get ready for school
7:30AM-5:00PM - at school/work/internships
5:00PM-6:30PM workout and relax
6:30PM-8PM - LSAT
8PM-10PM - school work

Granted, I could also take off work when needed to get a little bit more school work in. Meals were just eaten while doing other stuff.

Thanks to both you guys. Sleep is like so essential to me it's not even funny. I hate feeling like a zombie. If I could just not sleep and be alert all day I wouldn't have a problem.

This is true for everybody.

Keep in mind that with the LSAT, the quality of your study time is much more important than the quantity. With your busy schedule and limited time available to devote to LSAT prep, it's important to do it during times when you'll have enough mental energy to concentrate intensely the whole time rather than being really fatigued from the day. I like the suggestion above to switch LSAT prep to morning when your brain is fresh and more energetic/less fatigued, you'll get more benefits from that study time than the same number of study hours when exhausted at the end of a long day.
