Hit a xxx I've literally never felt this good in my life. Opened the e-mail in a laundromat parking lot and may have cried a little lololololol.

Hate to do this so soon, but you should consider retaking if you still have a third test left.

First time taker, 168. PT average 174 so pretty upset. Those of you excited, congrats! For those of you disappointed, see you in the retakers thread!

Went from 164 to 168. Woohoo!

(I know it's not that great by TLS standards, but I'm very excited.)

Congrats to us all, on surviving the wait.
I got a 162. Im pretty satisfied considering the circumstances. But intend to retake it in June.
But Im not sure if that will count as my third or second attempt.
I was originally slated to take the test in 2009 but canceled before the test date. Does that count as an attempt? Do I have two more attempts? Does anyone know how "absent" affect the application process?

Did you withdraw before the test? If so, that doesn't count as an attempt, IIRC.

And why "absent?" Did you not cancel another test and just not show up, or?

172; 5 points below my 10-test average, but for a first score, it'll do. Definitely retaking in September; I had plenty left in the tank and I shouldn't have taken it the same week I moved back to the country =) all's well though! Congrats and Condolences, friends!

170. 4 points below my average, and that stings quite a bit, but I'm not heartbroken. One more shot before application cycle opens, and one after that if necessary.

Now that's the question.
I'm trying to remember if I was able to cancel before the test date. I say "absent" because that is what the SPECIAL NOTES section on the lsac website uses. Does that mean I was not able to cancel on time? It's very much a possibility. Would that change the number of attempts I have left?

2009 is long enough ago to not impact your remaining retakes. You should have 2 left if I'm understanding your situation right. 3 takes in 2 years.

Email admissions and withdraw or give them a call. It is a very simple process really.

Awesome, thanks. Wasn't sure if there was a way on the LSAC website.
