Logical Reasoning Help

Post by Misty1517 » Fri Jan 31, 2014 9:30 pm

So I was studying for the Feb LSAT, but decided to push it back to June because I wasn't ready. I've been using the Powerscore bibles and Everylsat's drilling sets/practice tests and had great results earlier on, but I'm still struggling with logical reasoning too much to get the score I want.

I'm not sure what to do now. I don't have the money for a course so please don't recommend those. Should I do more practice tests or is there another self-study resource that could help me? Or should I spend the money and get a private tutor for a few hours? Thanks for any advice!

Get Manhattan LSAT and Cambridge packets. Since you are writing in June, you still have a lot of time for drilling. check out some nice posts here on TLS about how they mastered LR. It was pretty much: reading MLSAT (or LSAT Trainer), drill the corresponding bundles from Cambridge. Review. Drill, drill some more.

Drilling makes a huge difference in the section. Just doing 35 minute sections with review won't help you improve as much as drilling. There are too many different types in one section. Drill like a mad man and then review.

Also, I would invest in the trainer and/or MLSAT LR. They make a huge difference and they have drills per type that really help as well.

Good luck!

Manhattan LSAT forums are a very good free resource. There's a thread for most every question, and lots of good analysis within the threads.

I disagree with everyone above.

Slightly.

Drill like a madman...Review like the maddest man. Review > Drilling and Drill --> Review / ~Review --> ~Drill.
