But what'd you do in Shanghai? I guarantee that can relate somehow.
IDK, the official TLS statement "book" touches on ethos or whatever it is, but it also says it may be a good idea to start your statement with an impactful quote. It also tells you to address all of like 12 questions in 2 pages, which is impossible and never happens. It gives a mixture of good and bad advice so I don't like it.

emotion =/= sadness

Pride, awe, solidarity, etc. all evoke emotion

And for the record, I think starting with a quote by Oscar Wilde or Nikolai Tesla is a terrible idea, but the TLS book says it's one way to start a statement.

ETA - Or even worse, Nietzsche. Puke.

All this PS talk, I like it.

Tomorrow is going to be lil bit of everything.

-30 Resolve/explain
-30 Necessary/Sufficient Assumptions
-6 more weird games from the early 1990's
-4 RC passages
-Read the rest of The Economist (call me crazy but I enjoy reading it. Finding myself easily spending 30+ min at a time just reading instead of watching useless YouTube videos)

What would make the Economist the best ever is if they could also provide context for some of the subject matter. Like an appendix or something where you can be like "oh so that's why this is important or significant".

That's precisely the concept Vox.com was launched on

Didn't do any studying last night and it felt great.

Tonight I'll be doing a 5 section PT.

One of my coworkers moved to a different department, so I've been stuck doing her work in addition to mine. I'm so exhausted, you guys. I don't want to even think about taking the LSAT in Feb, but I think it might happen if I can't get it together these remaining few weeks :|
Stay strong pep! It sucks when real life happens and it impacts LSAT plans. :?
This x 1000. We believe in you Pep! If you're starting to feel the burn out, definitely taper off until the LSAT headaches go away. And post ITT for moral support.

Trying to do a little RC drilling at work and the guy in the office next to me keeps barging in to talk to me about our shitty computer system. And now I'm pretty sure he is gonna go gossip that I'm studying for the LSAT at work instead of doing work, even though I've been busting my butt all day and this is the first break I've taken.

Been a while since I've checked in here. Anyone have any tips on how I can improve the second half of my LR sections? I seem to plow through the first 15 or so questions usually getting one wrong and I feel like my timing is good but somehow manage to miss four or five the rest of the way.... I know they like to sprinkle in time consuming parallel flaw questions on or near the last page, but that awareness hasn't actually helped me get over the hump... Thanks for the help!!!

I mean those 16-26 questions are where the difficult ones are so just really study? I don't think there's any specific advice other than drilling and becoming more comfortable with level 3 & 4 questions.
+1

I also think there's a mental aspect to this. After reading so much about the dreaded latter half on LR sections, there were times where that really affected my performance. Just be confident in your decision making and be observant on time. There will most definitely be a few time sinkers but for the most part you should be able to get the rest right.

The LR questions I did clicked fairly well for me today.

-27/30 Resolve/Explain
-26/30 Sufficient/Necessary Assumptions

About to do timed RC drilling now.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
