I mean your thread title pretty much says it all

eta: finished P1... why is it supposed to be obvious you're talking about Shanghai... I don't get it
eta: will continue to blurt out what pops in my mind as I read it in edits
eta: p3 referring to pre-bolded input... using ur own comment from p1 "little middle-schooly" (may not be the case but its a piece of writing coming from an adult, though I suppose it may be inappropriate to include depending on subject matter, the way that is written just sounds weird to me)
eta: p4 i liked it except for "was not even in my job description" idk just sounds off to me (could just be me) but that sentence just didn't read like it belonged or something (ik not very helpful comments here)
p5 idt i like the intro... "After entering the work force," sounded familiar to me and think it is bc of the beginning of p4 which is diff but idk, not saying its bad, just thought in my head I read that earlier even though i didn't really

and those are my initial thoughts while reading

pt61 section 2 q 16

I read on manhattan that (E) is wrong because it reverse logic in the conclusion.

could anyone expand on this? having a hard time grasping why (E) is wrong.

thanks

It's a mistaken reversal of the conclusion. Conclusion reads: If A ---> B. (E) reads B ---> A; "only if" triggers a nec. ass.

Thanks. I know it's not very good, which is why I'm asking for help.

I know P1 needs work, but I wasn't trying to make it obvious I was talking about Shanghai. I wanted to highlight how rapidly that city grew to substantiate my claim that it's a "new frontier for business".

Took preptest 60. Scored 163.

LR: - 12
LG: - 2
RC: -7

My saving grace is my logic games scores. How can I improve my LR? Getting desperate haha

What do you think of my performance?

How should I review this practice test? I really don't want to wait another year to apply to law school

Took PT 62 last night.

RC: -3
LR1: -1
LG: -1
LR2: -3

Raw Score: 94
Scaled Score: 175

I took it once already about 4-5 months ago and I scored a 167 on it then. Pleased with the improvement.

On Velocity test prep's site, Dave Hall started doing a "Tip of the Day" - pretty useful. Just noticed the header:

TIP O’ THE DAY: Get a new free LSAT prep tip served each and everyday. All videos are hand picked directly from our online course library. For her pleasure.

Classy af, Dave Hall.

177 on pt 64.

Not sure how much to read into it because i took it back in January(170), and the material was somewhat familiar. In fact, when i compared it to the first take my mistakes were identical.

Scored a 169 on PT46 today. December will be a retake for me, but the time off, and a few adjustments to my schedule, has bumped me up from a consistent 160 to a consistent 167-169. I've yet to break 170, but I can see it shimmer in the distance faraway on the broad horizon.

That's awesome! What do you think contributed to that jump?

I think another extra semester in undergrad, and time off was responsible.

Thanks for the kudos though, this is a big deal for me.

Congrats! Some of my best PTs have been after taking a couple weeks off. I do a few sets of LG first just to scrape the rust off but LR and RC is usually super intuitive and I do a lot better, so I definitely understand the wonders time off can do for your brain.

I guess I'm retaking in Feb.

haha, but really, might be beneficial for me to take a few weeks off after the Dec LSAT.
