Speaking of games... checking in after being awake for an hour and forty... finished an LG section that literally kicked my butt. Things are not looking too great =,(.

You are absolutely right! And I am going to do it!

I'm sure you'll be able to register for it somewhere, but not necessarily the closest to you.

Thanks for all the encouragement guys! Unfortunately, today really really blew. I usually PT in the high 160s, low 170s, but I completely had no idea about 3 of the games at all and just got so frustrated I left them blank. I also got 5 wrong in each of the other sections, which is more than usual as well. Not sure what happened. Trying not to get discouraged and am going to watch explanation videos for those games (open to recommendations, by the way) as well as carefully go over those wrong questions. But still, sucky way to start off a new segment of my study plan :(

ETA: Ended up with a 157, realized I didn't include that. So at least a good ten points under my PT average.

Depends on where you live. I found that for the September administration, a lot of people withdrew and seats became available. That said, a lot of these people withdrew to sit in on December. Considering that December is the last administration for the '15 cycle, there won't be as many seats available. If you're applying for the '15 cycle, I would register just to make sure you have a seat at a location that is more convenient, travel + location wise. You can always withdraw before the deadline and recoup some of your monetary loses. I also found that registering for the exam gave me the extra kick in the tush to study, knowing that I had a date to sit in on.

If this is your first time taking the LSAT, I would still sit in on December so that you have one under your belt, and can know what to expect.

Aw - sorry water! Which PT was this?

ETA - nevermind! Saw it in the other page. For what it's worth, I always found the PTs before 40 to be different - even the games. Not sure what other tests you have, but I would try doing a PT with one in the 60s. Might have just been a fluke of the old LSAT ;)

PT34. I'm kind of thrown by this, to be honest.

ETA: Just saw your edit. Actually, I'd been doing the PTs 29-38 mostly as of late, so I'm really not sure. Thanks for the insights and empathy anyway :) At this point, I'm just trying not to let it mess with my motivation/mindset.

Just one of those random off days. You'll bounce back on the next PT!

ETA: It's sort of like working out. Sometimes you just have bad workout sessions. But what matters is the gains over a period of time.

I've been doing PT 20 - 40 and was thrown by a few Games as well that were entirely confounding, when I had been going -0 to -1 on Games. It messed with me a bit. I spent a lot of time going through explanations and redoing the Games that threw me.

I'm sorry, I know that can be discouraging :( Tomorrow's another day! And especially with RC, sometimes certain tests are just randomly difficult.

Finally received notice of my third letter of recommendation. A year after I asked my teacher to write the damn thing.

I knew he would write it because we were very close and still in contact. He's writing another book and teaching simultaneously, so I don't blame him completely. However, he e-mailed a few months ago saying that he finished writing it, so he was procrastinating these last couple of months in submitting. Great guy though and one of my favorite teachers ever. I know that it will make a difference at one of the schools I want to attend as he received his doctorate from there and regularly donates to them.

This just happened to me today:

So.....I have been stuck around 390 pounds deadlifts for awhile. For once in a long time, I decided to buy pop tarts as my pre workout snack and just so happened to make a new PR @405 pounds. Initially, I was convinced that it was the pop tarts that caused my success, but LSAT mentality set in and noticed the flaw in my reasoning....

LSAT reasoning is only applicable in the LSAT world. In da real world, da pop tarts rule.

Try pop tarts as your pre-PT snack. That'll help fill the gap.
