So my Communism Professor just said: Whatever is not mandatory is banned or, to put it another way, whatever is not banned is mandatory.

And I’m sitting there like: THAT’S A MISTAKEN REVERSAL!

In response to Jgoods about the 5:00 am alarm. I had an entire semester where I would wake up at 5:00. But I'm trying to do this thing where I reward myself with movies for all my hardwork ( :P ) so I go to bed at 9:00 PM, watch a movie until 10:45 and then go to sleep and wake up at six :P

Rewarding yourself is a great idea (though as a scientist I'm obligated to point out the negative effects of blue light on inducing sleep)

Inducing sleep? I thought that it would make it harder for me to sleep to have such bright light in bed right before sleeping...

Yeah, you're right, I phrased it weird. Sorry about that!

PSA for Decemberers: Blue light sends signals to your brain via your eye that causes you to fall asleep more slowly. It's best to abstain from watching anything ( or even looking at your cell phone) one hour before your bedtime.

impossible

Yes, that's sad :( . But I haven't had troubles going to sleep. Maybe, as a cinephile, I'm so used to it my brain is immune to those signals :P

Haha, maybe! I wonder if your quality of sleep is affected in any way though because of the signal sent to your brain. You might fall asleep pretty fast but maybe not sleeping as well as you could if you didn't watch anything... Do you dream often? And when you wake up, can you usually remember your dreams?

Hmmm, maybe I should get a grant to study the sleep patterns/quality of ppl studying for the LSAT. It would be fascinating to research.

I'm such a geek, LOL

how am I supposed to keep track of whats going on here if I don't check up before bed?!

I love learning! So I shall be your subject!

I do dream and I can recall my dreams (usually) after waking up.

I've been watching films before going to sleep at least twice a week (usually during the weekends) for several years now. Not always in the hour before. But then I usually read about the film I watch (criticism, influence, etc.) because I, too, am a nerd :P And that usually takes me to when I go to sleep.

Ah, there you go. Less sleep or lower quality of sleep tends to lead to more dreaming. The fact that you're remembering your dream means that you're having more REM sleep? Not too sure on the specifics, I'll have to ask my sister bc she's a brain doc/neurobiology researcher specializing in circadian rhythms. I'm only a mere chemist & don't know much about bio related stuff :(

But dreams are fun!

But that's really cool. Why law if you like science? Are you looking into Patent Law?

How can you do 5am? It kills me to even think about waking up that early!

+1. The earliest I can get up is like 6:30 & that's on a good day.

Also, good morning, y'all! (Or in my case, lunchtime, haha)

Could someone post a link to the packets of questions that are grouped by type? I believe they are printable PDF's

Sounds legit! Dream big and you'll get it! As someone famous (?) once said "If your dreams don't scare you, they're not big enough." :)
