Re: The Official December 2014 Study Group
Best stress release for me is the 100 pound heaving bag I have hanging in my garage. I tend to picture things I'm frustrated with when going 15 rounds on it. Lately its been PT 50 and my new boss. Seems to work for me.
About to drill some Weaken questions. Any quick tips you guys use that help y'all individually would be great. Something tells me I'm going to include weaken questions tomorrow during my heavy bag session. Just finished some in/out games and I missed 2 of 18. Not bad I guess.

Re: The Official December 2014 Study Group
hi guys, wow this thread grew. been really stressed lately, could use some of your wisdom!
for RC, how do you prevent yourself from over-annotating?
Currently I make a very short summary/key words of each paragraph and show linkage between paragraphs. I box key terminology. Underline certain lines that shows author's tone and those switches in argument (i.e. traditional views are X, but new studies have disproved...).
I feel like my annotations aren't really doing that much as after each question I'm still referring back to the passage, meticulously checking for support and thus rereading many sections (not only does this add to time PLUS I am not always right). It feels like sometimes I annotate so much that I actually don't remember anything and the passage is still just as foreign.
sorry if this was recently asked, haven't caught up to the thread yet.
welcome any December retakers btw!

also question for those still in school:
how are you managing your time with classes and lsat prep? Equal parts per day (5 hours class work + 5 hours lsat prep)? LSAT prep better in the morning?

jgoods-- thanks for book recommendation & website link! i'm definitely going to check it out!
and sidenote: hereisonehand... your tar makes me feel like you're yelling at me, so when you quote LLH, i feel like you're yelling at me to go back to studying!
^ YES. back to studying. I'm still reviewing PT 37 that I did a couple days ago, and my mind is kinda stuck on #12 from section 2 (LR). I can't seem wrap my head around the conditional logic-- especially with the "cannot" and "without" would someone explain this to me out of the pure goodness of their heart? thank you!!hereisonehand wrote:Learn_Live_Hope wrote:Guys guys guys,

Alright guys/gals, weakening questions. Not as bad as I thought? Missed 3 of 16 (I've broken up the cambridge sections in 4 sets for drilling purposes). I feel like I'm finally starting to see the conclusions and premises better and better.
Do you guys/gals think it's beneficial to BR as you go? I find myself answering a question and asking myself "why is this right? And why are the ones you narrowed down to wrong?" Or should I just answer and move on then BR afterwards?

You'll get it man. Maybe it's because you had to go to the airport and stuff. Next time, take a few to relax then hit the books. I can never get home from somewhere and then study. I always have to clear my mind for at least 20-30 minutes before I study.nlee10 wrote:Got to parent's house and then did 3 ordering games and 20 Must Be True Q's in my hw. 15/20 ughhh.

Woa! 7-8 hours of sleep? Please tell me in detail tomorrow what that is. Between work and LSAT studying, im averging 5-6 a night during the week and 6-7 on the weekends.nlee10 wrote:Possibly. My parents have never been good with technology, but it seems like they waited for 3 weeks until I came home to have me go do various computer errands/tasks. lmao. But planning to get a good 7-8 hours of sleep and do more tomorrow morning!jrdavila09 wrote:You'll get it man. Maybe it's because you had to go to the airport and stuff.
