Isn't showering without one nice? I always hate feeling restricted by the curtain. Oh but I guess the problem of water running away. Whatever. YOLO.Colonel_funkadunk wrote:I wish I had a shower curtain atm

Yeah that passage is pretty rough. Turns out it's not actually about what the first paragraph purports to be about.m27 wrote:PT 54 LR and the groupthink passage just reamed me out

Is that why mine was so easy to write?PeanutsNJam wrote:it's always cool when 2 TLSers meet up IRL. But you know this means you must PW for proof right. And I've realized why it's such a bitch to make an amazing PS. Because PS are about ourselves, and I'm not an amazing person. Fuck.
My new PS:
"My LSAT is 172 and idk I think I'll do ok at your school, probz median. Interview ok, will have decent changes at successful OCI."
<3 u PNJ, I'm sure it will be awesome when you get it done.

Re: The Official December 2014 Study Group
Seriously, I'm trying to write about myself and my (Hahvard) friend gave me this golden tip:
- Use a personal account (i.e. Show not Tell) to trigger an emotional connection for your reader, and use that emotional connection to convince the reader that they want to accept you.
He told me to avoid "logical" appeals, because they always either come off boastful or CV-ish
Too bad I don't have a personal account that is powerful enough to trigger any Ethos (is that what it is?) in an adcomm, or I don't have one that I can relate to how/why I will excel in law school that is relevant to my topic (my time working in Shanghai). I just haven't saved any busloads of children, so I can't in good conscience make up a story about a child hanging onto her fragile life by a few fingers, screaming for help as I crawl over a solitary beam hanging over a cliff.

Yeah my buddy got into Harvard with a statement about Tetris. No joke. He showed it to me and it blew me away.
"If you can trigger an emotional response, you can talk about butterflies and potatoes and your reader will still go 'Damn.'"
