Checking in, I also drastically underperformed in December and will be retaking June. I think I'm going to restart my prep completely, going back and starting from square one, using the trainer, the manhattan trio, the bibles, cambridge packets, all of the PTs, and most likely following some sort of structured study schedule. Best of luck to all retakers! We can do it!

Checking in. I am also a re-taker (162 in June '13, 165 in December '13). I am considering re-taking next month (I have 4 days to register) but am leaning more toward waiting a cycle and taking the June test. Using LSAT Trainer and PrepTests (and maybe going back through PS LG Bible).

Might as well check in here too. I'm just curious as to why a separate thread for retakers has been created. Is it because those on the other thread are at a different point in their prep from us?

Edited for clarity.

I suppose the type of prep in each thread is at different stages, but I see your point. Retakers probably have more prep, and more advanced prep, under their belt. Historically after each admin a lot of these threads are created so I assume that's the main reason.

And also, if you take a glance at the other thread, the general tone seems to be that they don't like us...

Checking in. Scored a 161 on the December LSAT and I'm more motivated than ever to do better.

Who would be up for joining a re-taker study group to be conducted via Skype/Google + once or twice a week? I know everyone has work/school schedules, but I think we could really benefit from each other's experiences and we all seem to be fairly close in terms of scoring. Thoughts?

I would be interested, but it really depends on everyones weaknesses. For me, I would do a lot of intense LR prep first since that's what I wasn't consistently doing right leading up to the test.

I just finished PT 39 Section 3 and missed Q 9.

It's a main idea question, but seems to be a strange one; the passage doesn't ever make direct mention to (and certainly doesn't seem to take a stance on) whether or not the psychologists mentioned in the passage are erroneous in their views. This may be slightly detectable through the author's tone, but I wouldn't imagine strong enough to be the main idea without any explicit details supporting it.

Any thoughts on this one? Am I just looking at the passage wrong?

There have been some mumblings about getting a review or study group together on the official June 2014 thread and I know there are at least a handful of us retaking after the score release yesterday. I don't know how much time I can commit to organizing a group, but I thought I'd get the ball rolling.

I scored a 157 in December 2013 after PTing from 165-170. I'm aiming for 170+ in June and using Noodley's retaker guide along with the Retake daily schedule from the LSAT Blog.

Best of luck, everyone!
Woah. How do you go from PTing in that range to a 157??? Did you bomb a game or something?

Checking in. Retaking in June after a 160 on December LSAT. Was ranging between 168 and 172 on practice tests in the weeks leading up to the December test. Looking to do 170+ this time around.

So does anyone have any advice on how I should approach drilling? Should I read a chapter and then drill an entire packet with extensive review week per week until I get through them all?

I'm technically a re-taker in june, so I'll jump on this thread.

I took the June 2010 LSAT and posted a 162. I didn't do very much studying and I've earned an MA in the meantime. Basically I forgot about law school until last fall. In the last month I took four PTs with results of 172, 171, 171, and 164 (in that order--the 164 was 4 days after quitting smoking).

So, with this much time to prepare and a whole ton of clean PTs in front of me, I'm shooting for high 170s.

Checking in.

I was scoring 167-170 in the month leading up to December and did not do that well on test day. Definitely ready to give it my all and go 170+ in June.

I'd be up for joining one of these. I agree that it will depend on weaknesses, but we could always pick a topic beforehand and those who aren't interested don't call-in that day.

Missed my practice test average by a good eight points. I've decided to take January off completely and start studying for June the first of February.

I'm sure that tcr will vary from person to person but this seems like a good approach. I would say the most important thing is to, first, understand the principles behind approaching each question type and, only then, moving on to drilling so as to reinforce and perfect these approaches.

I'm sure at least a few on this thread already know about this guide but, for those who don't, TLSers often swear by NoodleyOne's Guide for Retakers. I can't speak to the success of this guide myself because, even though I knew about it before my December retake, I didn't follow it too closely. It is the guide off which I will be basing my approach to the June retake (only difference being that I'm also going to use The LSAT Trainer along with the other materials on there). Aside from suggesting the materials that seem to typically be used by those on this site, the guide also provides a good idea of how exactly to approach the retake. Could prove to be a valuable resource for any retaking in June.

Checking in. Got 169 in Dec. '13, 1st attempt. That's more than enough to get me into all my Canadian options but I want to tutor, so I'll be retaking in June for hopefully at least a low 170. Went -6 in LG in Dec. so I'm hoping there's still a lot of room for improvement.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
