What has everyone done so far studying wise? I need to gauge whether I'm messing around or the whole group is.

I've taken a diagnostic PT and started the first few chapters of the LG Bible
I am further behind in the trainer than I'd like to be, but idgaf.

I've finally finished the Manhattan LR Guide. On to the TRAINER!!! As the venerable Alexander the Great said at the Battle of Saratoga, "alea iacta est"!!! or something else like that. My brain is fried.

checked out for a little after getting into my top school. Need to get back at it so I don't pay sticker. I'll be catching up in the Trainer all weekend. Has anyone not taken a PT for June yet? I can't bring myself to take one

That's awesome! You'll nail your first PT back with that confidence behind you.

After being disappointed by the Trainer's Games discussions, I'm really impressed with how they explain Flaw questions.

"Unless it is Thursday, I will go to school."

Can I say that if it is Thursday, I will not go to school?

Yes. Above statement means: " If I go to school, then it's not Thursday."
Contrapositive: If it's Thursday, then I will not go to school."

Just started prepping for the LSAT so I'm not an expert yet when it comes to conditional reasoning. But I'm pretty sure this is the correct answer. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.
No, you've got it backwards.

"Unless it is Thursday, I will go to school" translates to "If I do not go to school, then it is Thursday." Contrapositive: "If it is not Thursday, then I will go to school."

With unless statements, you negate the sufficient condition, and the "unless" clause is the necessary condition.

Any LG sources you guys recommend outside PS, Manhattan, and 7-Sage?

I'm going very light on the studying until April, and then I'll pick it up. It will be almost all be LG studying because I suck at those and am fairly good at the other stuff. Hopefully you guys can help me a bit with LG and I can help you with the other sections if need be!

Some people really like Velocity, but imho there is no need to read every single format if you have a strong grasp on the games.

Read either PS/Manhattan, follow by drilling the Cambridge LG packets, and watch the 7sage videos for any that you didn't -0 on at a fast pace.

Thanks.

Aside from retakes, I've only ever gone perfect on one section :? I'm hoping 7-Sage will take me to the next level.

7sage will fix your LG issues. Just solve games after reading the appropriate section in the PS/MLSAT/Trainer, and review. If you get anything wrong, move too slowly, or just don't murder the game, watch 7sage and repeat the game. Just keep doing this until you go -0, guarantee it works.

Next year...

**Progress Report**

A couple of more chapters done in the PS LG Bible, drilling using old tests (1-39), keeping in line with Noodley's guide.

I was going through linear games and was wondering should I finish the entire chapter and then drill/7sage?
Also with 7sage should I reattempt the problem before watching the video or will this lead to bad habits? On chapter 17 of the trainer and done with the LRB

Do the chapter
Do the games.

Any game you didn't get -0 (quickly) on, you should watch 7sage and work through the game again. Make copies of this game and do it randomly over again.

Anyone interested in reviewing some LR questions and games from the Trainer's drills in the chat room?

Im in guys. Although I'm not exactly a re-taker. I withdrew from February because my RC is horrible-- I never focused on it during my prep so i plan to hit it hard during the next few months. I'm going back to the basics. Starting off with Manhattans LR, and Powerscore for LG and RC (First time using an RC book). I used my PTs up till 68 (Yikes) but I hoping familiarity doesn't play a huge role. I have also never used Cambridge to drill, and I would like to know the proper way of doing this. Should i go through the bibles/Manhattan LR first?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
