Just took PT 70 and scored a 170!!!

This is the test I absolutely TANKED in October and cancelled because I panicked and could only answer four questions on the LG section. Damn that's a good feeling.

Breakdown:

LR1: -3
RC: -3
LG: -2
LR2: -3

Congrats bro! That's awesome.

Just finished PT64, 173. Last four PTs have been 176, 170, 170 (got GGpwned by stained glass), 173. Hopefully my next 4 PTs will produce a more consistent scoring range.

FML just had my worst test since like March.

RC: -6 (one omitted)
LR 1: -3
LG: -0
LR 2: -9
Raw: 81
Score : 163

excuse me while i go throw up.
stupidly tired while taking this- at the end had developed some sort of LR tourettes.

fmlfmlfmlfmlfmlfmlfmlfml

My Last 10 and Last 5 avg are still at 169, so thats comforting.

Definitely a fluke!!! There's no way that is in any way representative of where you are scoring. You were just tired.

How's everyone feeling overall?

To be honest, I'm a bit conflicted.

This is my last retake - I was initially shooting for 175 but seem to be landing more around the 170-173 range, which I'm comfortable with. I've thought about putting off, especially since I took PT 71 today and scored a 169, but, at the same time, I don't think I could commit another 3 months to studying. I've been studying off and on while working 50-60 hours weeks for about a year now and am really sick of being in a constant state of panic. I suppose I have 7 days to decide. =/

I've taken the 57 LG section at least 5 times and I again didn't complete it earlier. I believe it was the third time I've taken the whole PT and I scored 175, but wow, that LG section is still the toughest of any LG section for me. It's not only because of the dino game, but each game aside from the first is relatively challenging. But again, it shows that if a section is disproportionally tough, then the other sections will even that out. Don't be discouraged by 57 LG if you come across that section before the LSAT.

Is there a compilation anywhere of the most difficult pt sections of LG, LR, and RC?

I dunno about sections. Usually difficult sections just have one or two abnormally difficult games or passages.

For LG, powerscore and lsatblog created a top 10 list of most difficult games. You can google most difficult RC passages for a list of most difficult also. And there may be a list of most difficult LR but I dunno of any off the top of my head.

I think taking the hardest games in history this week at some point is a good idea. Make sure you do normal LG sections afterwards bc your confidence may take a hit.

Somehow I brought my average in RC down to -7 for PTs 65, 66, and 67 (all fresh). My average was like -11 for PTs 62, 63, and 64.

Took my final PT on Sunday (#69). I think I'm ready for the real thing. It's a strange feeling because last time I was a mess the week before the test. But this time around, I know I've done everything I can to prepare myself.

This week I'm going to relax. No studying, no stressing. Good luck to everyone next week!

Accidentally took one of the two fresh tests left (PT 67) without even realizing it until the end of test. I don't even want to score it (that's how bad I felt about it. ) Can't finish each section.
Just going to let it go and let the two and half hours go to waste. that's all.

The PTs you're improving on have relatively challenging RC sections - I'm thinking of the blackmail passage and iKung! or however you format that.

Ya that !Kung passage was ridiculous. I honestly still could not tell you what it was about but I managed to go -2 on it. Before PT 65, I was getting to the last passage with about 2-3 minutes left so I'd have to guess on like 6-7 questions. I told myself that I would NOT spend more than 20 seconds deciding between 2 last answers for any of the questions, which is what was wasting so much of my time. This way, even if I'm not completely sure of some of the answers I choose, I still get to the last passage with about 6-7 minutes left. Also, like with the !Kung passage, I try to read as fast as possible even if I don't completely understand the passage. This seems to be working for me.

The !Kung woman passage was easily the hardest RC passage I've ever seen, even harder than that Chaotic Basin one.

I missed 5 on that one passage!!!!

67 was such a weird test in general.

LR was fine for me, but that Zone game combined with some weird RC.

Ouch.

At lunch today I redid LR 2 from PT 44 (that I messed up BAD on Saturday, -9). I hadn't looked at it or reviewed it in any way, besides entering it in LSATQA.

Went -3, and didn't miss any I got right the first time. *sigh of relief*

Doing PT 46 tonight, will use other bad section from PT 44 as experimental.

How much time did you guys devote to the writing section the first time you took the test? I've spent a total of 10mins looking over this http://www.manhattanlsat.com/blog/2009/ ... rite-it-2/ and that's about it.

Thats probably sufficient. LSAT blog has a little thing too.
I just did a little chart with pro/con for each side of the argument, picked the one that jumped out at me, and went to town.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
