Forget burn out. Bump up your studying to 2-3 hours per weeknight (and push an hour in the morning if you can) and more studying on the weekends. If you really want to hit your score, you can.

Got it. Any suggestions on avoiding fatigue besides working longer and hoping I adjust?

The last two LR sections I drilled and got -1 on and its always confusingly worded flaw question that gets me. I finished the games section of PT51 in 25 minutes and 30 seconds at -0. Let's hope they flow like that on test day.

You'll definitely get into a rhythm the longer you work at it. I know that happened for me in the middle of July, and I've loved studying as much as possible since then. Just remember your goal and why you're doing this. Remember that the LSAT is the single greatest determinant of where you go to law school, which will itself determine where (or if) you start your career as a lawyer.

The LSAT really is similar to a football playoff game. You have three hours to lay everything on the field for three hours and the end score will judge you forever. Also another favorite is Ray Lewis' speech at a basketball game: "If you ain't pissed off for greatness, then you're okay with being mediocre."

Yup. Every goddamn time.
I'm glad you understand my pain.

What reason do you have for skipping them? Even though 2 question stimulis don't show up anymore, the questions asked are still the same kind of questions you'll see on your administration.
Some people were saying that there was a 2-question stim on a recent experimental.

Yeah, I don't think you should be worried about burn out with ~1 hour of studying/weekday.

I'm finding PT 69 LR 2 #17 impossible to understand. I got it wrong during the PT and BR.

Finally went over my PT from yesterday and I realized I misread the answer key and actually got a 174 :D :D :D

Does anyone else feel like the better they do on PTs the more stressed they are for the real thing? I used to think I would be ecstatic just to get a 170, but now that I know I can do better I'm going to be so crushed to not live up to that...

can someone help me understand PT54.Section2.Question6.

I got this right because of POE but i am going through all the LR questions and typing up notes on them and am unsure how to break this one down.

Is it because the conclusion is a conditional and with no conditional chains. Thus, when this happens we want to protect the necessary condition (not sure what this even means but remember reading it somewhere in the powerscore bible)

EDIT: can someone double check my analysis on this question?

T: Necessary Assumption
C: If writing paper made from recycled paper replaces other types of writing paper → need to use more filler
Thoughts: This is an Assumption question with a conditional conclusion AND with no conditional premises. Therefore, we want to look for an answer choice that protects the necessary condition
AC:
A. Negation version does not destroy the argument
B. Out of scope to core
C. Correct because if grayish paper will be acceptable alternative to white paper than there is no need to use more filler (more filler = more white).
D. Premise booster. When negated this tells us more filler = more white. No effect on conclusion
E. Out of scope to core.

PT 41:
LG: -0
LR1: - 5
LR2 - 7
RC: -6

-18 overall for a score of 165

Was really depressed to see my total LR score go so bad. I've been pretty inconsistent these past few days. Really trying to shoot for a 168+ so really need to drill hardcore these next 7 days or push this to December.

When I took in Oct 2013 I basically went in with a "fuck it" attitude and would be fine with whatever I got. Thanks to TLS, I decided to withdraw my acceptances and retake this year. My top choice is Duke, so the highest I really need is a 172, but my goal is to push it as high as possible because it literally cannot hurt me (aside from YP). That's the power of the LSAT and it's why people against retakes are so blind.

PT 54, first PT in a while

162

RC -8
LR combined -7
LG -4

Kind of surprised that my score wasn't higher, given that I didn't bomb a game.

I need to work on comparative passages. this one killed me, and I have not done hardly any comparative passages at all, so at least there's a direction I can go with my prep.

That LR score is decent and you can hit 170s with it. RC is where you really need to clean things up. -8 is horrific and will prohibit you from consistently reaching 170s.

Does anyone have any suggestions (other than Manhattan) for RC? Trying to go less than -3 is gonna make me go crazy. Think I need to read another source for a different prespective.

I was referred to the following thread before and it seems to be pretty solid.

Yes! Particularly if I start to tire towards the end and make silly mistakes that compound one another. But, I usually just call it a day at that point and promise myself that I will return to whatever it is the next day, with the goal of going for -0. That's the test, I think: Can you return to whatever you studied the day previous and put everything into practice, both with greater speed and accuracy?
