What does "Grey Day" mean? I'm guessing it's the day scores come out but why the name?

I just simply wasn't ready for June. I was signed up though initially.

It depends on the school. Some have a fast turn around, especially for strong applicants. But USC for instance takes forever for everyone. Last year someone got in mid-Aug off the WL... Like literally right before classes started.angels2fly wrote:really speaks to how much some of the early advantage is overhypedCookieDough wrote: Yeah that's what I meant. Like if you submitted in September and didn't hear back until April versus January to April... Slightly less infuriating to be stuck at complete for a few months versus more than half a year.

I wasn't here for the madness that was the Oct. release, but I'll probably be lurking around for Dec. Why not?PourMeTea wrote:Who else is avoiding TLS like the plague during the projected score release days?

To contrast, getting the GRE score IMMEDIATELY after taking it was weird. 'Shit! How'd I do?' 'Oh, I guess I got that....' Although the very important writing portion (not really) was to be graded later.

When my S/O took the GRE I was so confused: "what do you mean you KNOW your score already?!"Otunga wrote:To contrast, getting the GRE score IMMEDIATELY after taking it was weird. 'Shit! How'd I do?' Not at all. I think I just went right into the score report after the last section. And I tested in a cubicle I believe with only a few other people in the room. As far as I know, there were different tests being administered - it wasn't just the GRE. I also think the GRE is offered a lot more often, which explains why there were so few test takers.PourMeTea wrote:Did it incite the same sort of grey day panic?Otunga wrote:To contrast, getting the GRE score IMMEDIATELY after taking it was weird. Everytime I tell someone Im waiting for my score (though I try to limit it because I flopped in October) they always have some type of comment like wow im surprised the LSAT hasnt adapted to computerized scoring.

Since the LSAC takes their sweet little holiday from the 24th-1st, I'm rooting for the 23rd.
