Re: December 2013 LSAT waiting thread
was it confirmed that back when LSAT did not take a bajillion years to report the december scores, they did NOT have this cushy break?

If I get some free time later I'll go back and check the past 40 or so exams for Oct-Dec curves where the Q's went 100-101. See if there is any kind of significant pattern.

Re: December 2013 LSAT waiting thread
The 4th RC passage (which was a science one -- mirrors) felt pretty deceptive, IMHO, because the passage seemed to be a bit difficult to comprehend given the time, but the questions felt very straight forward. Did anyone else notice the same thing?
PS: Is it just me or have the recent RCs been easy as hell? The RC and the games have felt like a joke these recent LSATs, nothing compared to iKung.

+1. looking back on it, mirrors seems to be the perfect example of not really needing to comprehend one whit of the subject being discussed.

Re: December 2013 LSAT waiting thread
I was panicking because when I got to that passage I have only 7~8 minutes left and it was kinda dense. Usually I like science passages and never had a problem understanding them, but not this time. I had absolutely no idea what the second paragraph was talking about and I had no time to figure it out. So apparently I answered all the questions purely based on my understanding of the structure.muzzy wrote:I think that was the challenge of the passage. Re: December 2013 LSAT waiting thread
The passage required a lot of visualization, the problem is that it's hard to do that during the rush of the LSAT, especially given that for me it was the last section.

Re: December 2013 LSAT waiting thread
Yeah I agree. I think if I really try to understand, it shouldn't be a prob but under the situation of the test I don't think it would worth the time.Theopliske8711 wrote:The passage required a lot of visualization, the problem is that it's hard to do that during the rush of the LSAT, especially given that for me it was the last passage.
Also it makes me feel horrible that so many people said the RC was joke...

I hope so....but I don't feel good about it... at all.muzzy wrote:bbkk, I had a very loose understanding of what was actually being said. I finished with lots of time and went back over the questions and the structural understanding was key. I think you'll be okay.

Re: December 2013 LSAT waiting thread
Yup! I understand why people thought this passage was hard....if you got bogged down in the details, then yeah it wasn't an easy passage. But I felt that you really just needed to understand the structure of the passage and the author's purpose. The questions didn't seem all that difficult to me after that. I think I got to this with ~10min leftwealtheow wrote:muzzy wrote:I think that was the challenge of the passage. Re: December 2013 LSAT waiting thread
I really tried to understand the passage, which I did while reading it. But as soon as I went to answer the questions it all dissipated and I tried to go back for the answers, which was stupid, cause it's not a passage I could just jump into in the middle. I ran out of time but was able to eliminate some choices and guess on 3 of them. Sigh.muzzy wrote:I think that was the challenge of the passage. the summaries game had five questions total (numbers 12-16). i know because i misread the rules, ran out of time, and had to guess numbers 14-16 on this stupid easy game. pissedlawschoolplease1 wrote:does anyone know how many questions the summaries game had?

I've certain I misread a rule too. I went through that game a wee bit too fast, but time was called before I could double check my diagram.ivyleaguer6 wrote:the summaries game had five questions total (numbers 12-16). i know because i misread the rules, ran out of time, and had to guess numbers 14-16 on this stupid easy game. pissedlawschoolplease1 wrote:does anyone know how many questions the summaries game had?

I completely misread this game, had to skip it and ran out of time when I came back to it...had to guess on them...did the first game have 7?

i doubt you misread the rules! second guessing yourself on games after the test is too easy, because it's such a blur. if you had a set up that made sense at the time and there were answers that corresponded with your deductions/inferences, then you should be fine. give your brain more credit!blackbirdfly wrote:I've certain I misread a rule too. haha the exact same thing happened to me. i misread the rules completely, was floored when none of the list questions corresponded to my deductions, skipped and came back. when i finally figured it out time was called.NanaP wrote:blackbirdfly wrote:I've certain I misread a rule too.
