prolly an app fee like 80-100 for score now. I find with the crazy month of December and so much shit going on it makes me try to forget that my future depends on a released score in ~2 weeksmuzzy wrote:What's the most you would pay to get your score right now?

I can wait for my score - I think with the holidays it might fly by pretty quickly. Next thing you know, its 1/3.

I'd pay 0. How much money have we all spent on apps and prep and everything (rhetorical question)? Broke as is lol, I can wait.

Re: December 2013 LSAT Waiting Thread
So I just bought CAS yesterday (delayed this forever). It turns out that 30% of all the people who've taken the LSAT from my school score in the 0-19th percentile.
Just how?
Also, can anyone speak to the contemporary significance of the admissions index? Every single school weighs GPA more than the LSAT it seems and some (I'm talking about you Boalt) weigh it ridiculously more. I'm wondering if this index is even used and if it is, is it just a filter before the adcom looks more deeply into the components separately?

Right?! My (small) degree granting UG has insufficient data to report the percentiles. and the UG I transferred from the LSAT median is at 150.retaking23 wrote:So I just bought CAS yesterday (delayed this forever). I understand that TLS is a small bubble, but if you pay $160 to take a test, is it really hard to do SOME prior research or studying?

My school's score is pretty TTT too, although nothing near the 0-19 percentile.

Mine's average is 152 lol. For all those who wanted to know if there are real people that score across the entire 120-180 spectrum, well now you know that there are no phantoms. I would not be so ashamed if the 0-19th percentile was 20 percent since that would make a school's distribution of scores perfectly in line with the whole population as far as that range is concerned, but upon closer inspection, it is quite clear that my school's scores are skewed to the left. Sigh.
Congratulations! You attend a [smarter, richer, and/or more diligent] school.FlyingNorth wrote:10% 95 & up......10% 0-19

None of this is surprising. The average person does not prepare for the LSAT. At my test center, I bought in the LG section with the stained glass game to warm up before they checked us in. This girl started asking me what I was doing. Told her I was diagramming. She didn't know what that was. I asked her how does she do LG without diagramming and she said she just matches the names.

I have no idea. She said her favorite section was the one with the small paragraph of "stories." At first I thought she meant she liked RC, but I realized she meant LR.bee wrote:...what does that even meanManoftheHour wrote:None of this is surprising. I used to read the stories on the "Overheard at the LSAT" thread and thought to myself, "People must be making some of these up or are exaggerating. No one in my past 3 LSAT administrations were that dumb." Turns out, 4th time is the charm.FlyingNorth wrote: You run into some incredible minds at your LSAT administrations

4% 95 and up. Then it's steadily between 5-7% for every other percentile until 0-19, which is at 13%.
Where are you guys getting the mean score from?

Hate to admit it, but I was one of those people. I've always been a pretty solid test taker, didn't bother with anything for the ACT and the like. First time I walked into the LSAT I did the same thing, no prep whatsoever...I could not figure out why the guys around me were writing so furiously during their logic games sections. The ignorance was wonderful though, did not stress out at all leading up the test.
