Harvard Yale Stanford is all irrelevant. Being a member of the tribe with connections trumps all this nonsense. The OP by asking this question has no such questions. Hence, he is destined to fail.

Lots of lobbyists are just former Congressional staffers who like working in the arena of policy but were tired of the shitty pay. I know many of these folks who have nothing more than BAs in Poly Sci from bigstate U.

Intern for your Rep or Sen, work hard, be nice, network, get job as a lower-level staffer, work way up, be a lobbyist, profit.

I'm not a tribesman, so listen to this guy.

Prob HYS. But I thought becoming a lobbyist was what people sold out to do, not aspired to do. Interesting career choice (seriously).

The ten most highly paid lobbyists and where they got their JDs (or not):

Bruce Joston: No JD
Robert Pickel: NYU
Mimi Simoneaux Kneuer: No JD
Cary Sherman: HLS
Alan Roth: NYU
Rick Pollack: No JD
Cynthia Fornelli: GWU
James Assey: GULC
Howard M. Schloss: No JD
John Dalton: No JD

This may also be of interest: http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 0&t=218432

But probably HY.

My mostly uninformed opinion: I suspect it would not be a very good idea to go to law school if all you want to do is become a lobbyist. If I were you, I would go to law school only if I would also be happy practicing law, because that is probably what you'll do, at least for a while. And I would probably not choose my law school based on whether it would be a good school for a future lobbyist, unless maybe it's a close choice between, say, Cornell, Northwestern, and GULC.

Or listen to this guy:

But really, TLS is not the best place to solicit advice about these sorts of things. (And especially not the LSAT forum...I mean, really?) Ask a lobbyist with a JD, not a bunch of 0Ls and bored 2Ls/3Ls.

Harvard, Yale and Princeton. Stanford is shit for your purposes. You need to go to a law school where you can meet presidents.

Jesus.
No unicorn riding experience necessary... One must simple own a Delorean with a flux capacitor.

Based on his/her post count, I think it was a joke, but yeah, I noticed that too.
