Re: December 2013 Retakers
Either way I'm taking a PT today so if people are down, I could do tonight/friday review of 70? Maybe saturday morning-ish.

Re: December 2013 Retakers
I'd like to take 70 in the same exact order as I had it on test day, as well.

I would start soliciting them now probably. I have no idea though because sadly I fall into the "they are just trying to pad their acceptance rate with my free app" category. Couldn't hurt to try now, and absolute worst case try again with your new score?action90 wrote:I have UCLA, Penn, Vandy (out of schools that I'd actually apply to). Clearly they are casting a wiiiide net because my numbers have no business attracting their attention.
That said, if December goes well I'll pay the $25 to hold onto the hope a little longer
Edit: NYU as well.

Yeeeeah I need to get back to it. I was on a roll earlier this week and then... nothing.melodygreenleaf wrote:Ugh same. For those who mastered LG, do you stop and look for an inference after looking at each rule? Or do you write down all the rules, then look for inferences?

Re: December 2013 Retakers
I write down all rules first and then see if any of them can connect in a way that could help. If so I will either diagram it out or make a quick hypo looking like diagram. I never waste too much time on this though so if I get stuck I just move onto solving questions. Inferences come from working on questions too.Fianna13 wrote:For those who mastered LG, do you stop and look for an inference after looking at each rule? Usually finish LG with about 5 minutes to spare this way.

sometimes I don't find an inference right away, even after writing the rules, so I imagine it would be a waste of time to look for inferences before writing rules if in the end there isn't any to make. Idk if I have mastered LG, but there is hardly ever a section where I don't go -0.

Re: December 2013 Retakers
I write all the rules first and quickly jot down obvious and helpful inferences. If I don't think I found enough or I'm missing a big one, I do the hypothetical questions first because I generally figure out the missing inference by diagramming those.Fianna13 wrote:For those who mastered LG, do you stop and look for an inference after looking at each rule? No. Also realize when you write down [read diagram] the rules, you don't have to go in order. You should be practicing rule addition. If the first rule says A is before D, you should diagram this rule and look for any other rules mentioning A or D. If the third rule says two or more people must perform after D and before C, then you got A - D _ _ + C. You ought to streamline the time youFianna13 wrote:For those who mastered LG, do you stop and look for an inference after looking at each rule? If you rely on thinking time to recognize inferences, you can take 30 seconds after the initial diagramming to make some sick deductions. I like to draw a clean, fast diagram with the rule diagrams next to it and then immediately attack the first question, which does nothing more than test whether you can read the rules or not. The second question is usually where I'll find some huge inference if there is even one to be had.

Mexican lurker over here! I am going to be more involved in this forum while I prepare for my retake in February, last time I only read all of you.
I got a horrible 150 I took blueprint course, and loved it, but I need a change of preparation. Now I am studying with the bibles. I like them a lot!! Any advice on study material?

Manhattan LR and then drill with Cambridge Packets! Also, the Trainer gives you a solid foundation and a good overarching view of the exam.[Thank you!!! Will check those out. What score did you get in the October test?]
