I think I already know the answer to this question, but was PT70 your first LSAT?

this just makes me feel more inferior

Koala has not yet given the inevitable response; there is still hope.

It's encouraging to read Mike Kim's explanations in the Flaw lessons and realize that you went through nearly the same thought process.

:x Stuck at work doing nothing (well, besides catching up on TLS) when I should be reviewing flaaaaaaws! This is brutal. I want to destroy December, but it would be helpful if I could actually study!

You gotta put your study materials in a dropbox. Study anywhere.

I did that last time with the bibles but the Trainer is huge! I might scan some chapters though. This wasted time is just ridiculous.

take a sleep aid the night before, forreal

Ha I'd probably be afraid I'd oversleep if I took something! I'm not sure what my no anxiety plan is yet, but I would probably do horrible, horrible things to guarantee steady nerves on test day

Absolutely. Reading is like a black hole of chaos & uncertainty in my LSAT world. Sometimes I go -0, sometimes -5, and I have to figure out what it is I'm doing that gets me those different scores.

I think just having taken the test before should mitigate much of the anxiety with it. I noticed I was anxious for the first few questions of sec 1 (LR1) and I might've been overeager to finish during sec 5 (LR2), as I don't recall reviewing much of anything in sec 5, despite having a couple minutes at the end to do so. I feel like I should be able to treat 71 more as a PT as opposed to 'THIS IS THE HOLY GRAIL!!!!!'.

if there was a pill that could magically make me hallucinate my study room and desk etc. around me at the testing center, i would take it.

+1

Although I've gotten used to taking PTs in weird places, but I need to get used to having other people spazzing around me. Pretty sure the energy in an LSAT room is the least helpful thing. I'm like "Ok, I got this" *looks around and sees a girl crying* ...

Realizing that I was probably going to do much better than most people at my test center helped calm my nerves a lot, and I was a guy who got nervous just PTing. I also tried to look confident and smiled a lot, as I find doing that makes me feel better as well.

Dec will be my third time (I took it once years ago before I realized that tcr is studying  ) and I can definitely say that the nerves were better the second time around. I still got a little flustered, but had time to review and didn't feel the panic I went through the firt time.

I think after the confidence boost I'm getting while studying this time, treating 71 as a PT might just be possible. I hope it works for you too!

drawstring, do you lsn? your cycle looks like its gonna be amazing, and i'd love to stalk/admire it from afar :D ;) if you dont want to publicly post, pls pm me?

Thanks bee! I'm optimistic about my cycle and am looking forward to hearing back from schools.

My LSN profile is 'Stalfos', but I need to do a bit of work on it.

What you need to do is use it to your advantage as adrenaline and mental alertness rather than stress and panic. Being calm isn't necessarily the answer, that can lead to carelessness and lack of focus.

Pretty sure that's how I ended up so far below my PT range.

Good question, especially considering that my anxiety is at an all-time now I have to delay my applications until January.

But the fact that I probably can't do worse than my October score is comforting.

Yeah, I've often gotten anxious just PTing, particularly in LG. I was oddly stoic for LG in Oct but super anxious in LR1 and RC (in RC mostly due to having to piss very, very badly).
