Bee: you still scored 170 as a first time test taker and you got your absolute worst setup. You're going to go up.

No problem. I view RC a bit like LG when it comes to timing. Time saved rushing through the setup/passage is often wasted when we get to the question and are like, "WTF?"CookieDough wrote:PrizeFighter wrote:
Honestly, it's been a while since I've timed how long just the passage takes, and I haven't timed myself at all in this way since starting this approach. One thing I'd recommend is trying two full sections: one reading normally but trying to get through the questions as quickly as possible while timing yourself and another section taking as long as you need to feel like you get every question right. By analyzing how much longer the second approach takes compared to the first compared to which way actually results in more right answers, you can start to develop your optimal pacing.
This is a great timing tip. Thank you! I don't have a problem with running out of time but I definitely read too fast and miss things so I'm definitely going to have to work on this...

Good luck! Might throw in a little "my future depends on this" freak out. Might scare them enough to actually get it doneaction90 wrote:on the phone with them now, complaning for the 2nd timeCookieDough wrote:?! TCR. Also, for games, I followed pithypikes guide and with the occasional mishap of reading or something, it's generally always -0 for me on games, which was also my worst section when I first started.dosto5 wrote:Honestly you're PTing above 175 so you have the skills. Just get your hands on as many games as you can and repeat them in random order so you're used to recognizing different game types/setups rather than just doing a bunch of the same game types at once. If you have enough games to go through then it won't matter if you end up doing some games a ton of times so long as they're spread out.bee wrote: oops sorry, yeah i do wait to redo the game, at least 24 hours. forgot to include that in my outline

Totally! I was so happy when I opened section two and found it was LG because I didn't feel good about the first one. After finishing section two with ten minutes to spare, however, I realized it was probably way too easy to be the real thing, and I think this caused me to tank LR.

BEE....Feel free to post the LG advice I PMed you. It was given to me by high scorers to alleviate the LG nerves for my retake.
Worked like a charm.
