Is getting waiver from pretty high ranking schools a good sign? I had thought some of these schools were kind of a reach for me (3.98/167) but receiving waiver makes me confused. I got several, but ones I cared to count were Chicaco, NYU, UPenn, Vanderbilt, Michigan, Duke, Washington, UCLA. Are they just trying to cast a wider net than they would care to accept?

Anyways... of I go to read Manhattan LR....

The reasons the schools are giving the waiver to you for could include that, or be a combination of a wide variety of other things. For example, some schools give it out to you in order to encourage those with high scores to apply, others give it to those with median scores, others give it to those with scores too low to be admitted in order to lower their acceptance rate, etc. The reason behind an individual waiver doesn't seem too discernible nor necessarily relevant to one's application.

It's basically just like getting a coupon in the mail. Whatever the reason it came, it still saves you money if you decide to apply.

Oh tricky tricky... Yeah, I had thought these waivers were a bit unusual, as I'm pretty sure I was a far shot to some of the higher ranking schools. Thank you for your clarification!

did you get the one that says about how much scholarship money you qualify for?

It said I could qualify for $30,000...not sure if that's per year or total. Probably per year considering the LS?

In your position, I'd probably have less willpower too. My PT avg was 171/172 while I know yours was generally 175+.

Ugh same. It's like once I succeed in forcing myself to start a PT, studying becomes a lot easier, but it's that initial "I'm going to be stuck doing this for the next 4 hours" mindset that's hard to get into.

I'm feeling the same exact way. I work full time and by the time I get home and have dinner, my motivation to study is low. But it's definitely time to get into gear! I have Monday off and took a bunch of vacation around Thanksgiving to have some full days to study. No more slacking off...

ive been working mon-sat with overtime these last few weeks it has NOT been fun or conducive to studying. tbh it's been hard to get together enough hours to do a full pt, and when i just have like half an hour of free time here and there, its so hard to make myself do an lg lesson or drill, because i know i only have a limited amount of time.

I feel you guys. I've been slacking since retaking PT70 as well. Don't feel the passion/motivation for studying any more.

Going to meet with a study group tonight and hope that could force me back into "studying mode".

ty for the advice, im prob gonna have to start waking up early and doing drills sounds crappy, but i gotta really buckle down.

It's very difficult/inefficient, at least for me, to study early in the morning. For a while I tried getting up everyday around 4~5am and doing a PT before going to work. But it didn't turn out very well; those PTs had the lowest scores that I've got.

I do. I was going to save PT 70 for the week before the test, but I really want to know why I got those specific questions wrong so I can focus on them.
