I have a 4.0 UGPA and I am (...or was....) shooting for H. In a stroke of fabulous luck, I misdiagrammed the Movies game and missed every question. Combined with a few questions I threw from nerves, I set myself a record low score.

My prep materials are somewhere between craptastic and nonexistent. I half assed myself to a 174 PT average through self study, LR & LG Bibles from 2007, and an LSAT Blog study schedule I didn't follow. Unsurprisingly, I never mastered the question types that gave me trouble. If I could figure those out, I think I could bump myself from -2/-3 LR section average to -0/-1. Is a Manhattan/Trainer combo likely to do that?
I just started reading the LSAT Trainer an hour ago and I think it will be the credited option for this short prep period. The Trainer's introduction to LR (Chapter 2) was very nicely done and offers a refreshing approach that probably trumps Manhattan's LR. I'd suggest using LSATQA to figure out your specific LR weaknesses and then drill your problem areas with the appropriate Cambridge Logical Reasoning packets. And if you already have Manhattan LR, just read the chapters for the question types you're struggling with as a supplement to the Trainer. BTW you can read the first 5 chapters of the Trainer on the site.

Took the October LSAT for the first time.

Stats:165 with 10 wrongs in RC...Any advice on how to improve on RC in 5 weeks?

Probably will also be using LSAT Trainer thanks to all the recommendation.

Also need a study partner (could be online) to motivate each other! Anyone please?

So I was just looking at LSATQA and my last PTs before Oct. were 177, 178, 179, 180, 180, 178. I hit only 170 on the real thing. But looking at my PTs just solidifies the fact that I need to retake.

I'm actually feeling good about it. Going to do a few -- not a ton -- of PTs. I'm also going to work my way back through the LSAT Trainer and make sure I stay sharp on LG with 7sage.

Excited to get back to prep guys and gals.

Checking in for December. Got a 152 on October and was PTing around 157.

LR killed me this time so I'm spending most of the month going through Powerscore LR and Manhattan LR (with Cambridge packets) and thinking about signing up for the Powerscore Weekend class to brush up on the other subjects and have a teacher to ask questions after I finish the two books. Then PT for the remaining weeks.

Anyone know anything about the Powerscore Weekend class? I've read about it and seen people's reviews, but results/opinions seem to be mixed...

I could use some help on this too. Per LsatQA my worst spot by far is the suggestion/implied questions. It says I make about 2.6 errors on it per RC section  Others are main idea/point and agreements but that's only a .8 error rate combined.

Also, I have LG down thanks to powerscore. I recommend their bible for LG.

i know dat feel. my last couple of PTs before october were 180 180 180 176 180 178 and i also scored 170 on the real thing :|

it's okay, jk. #decemberkillers
It's just brutal looking at what I missed though. I just completely forgot to bubble a question on RC, lost a stooooppid point on LG and missed SEVEN on LR. That never happened on a PT.

Absolutely brutal. But luckily I have Dec to make up for it.

Bee, I think we all agree you will be 175+; I will be happy with 172+ honestly.

Also, Bee, (you've probably already discussed this somewhere), but are you submitting apps BEFORE Dec. and just telling admissions that you are retaking in Dec. Or are you going to wait?

I'm thinking of taking only 6-section tests from here on out (12 to 15 composite tests). I know burnout potential varies a lot between people but does this sound like a bad idea? Should I maybe only do a few 6-sections for some endurance practice but generally stick to 5?

I do six sections and it works for me, but like you said, it depends on the person :)

ETA: Working on endurance is one reason I do six-section tests, but the main reason for me is that I have a fair amount of fresh PTs left and I want to get through them all.
