have you hit 165 yet on a PT? thats the important thing. people on this forum say you take your last 10 PTs, average them out, and do +-3. would you be satisfied with that range? if not, the answer is pretty obvious.

If you're not conditioned to sit through a full PT yet, you are in no position to take the real thing. Consider taking it in december or even February. Applying late in the cycle isn't some death knell, especially if you score 3-5 points higher because of it. No sane person would trade a 165 february app for a 161 october app. Take all the time you need and take it when you are ready.

Was considering doing this, but since I'm hell-bent on applying this cycle and this will be my first take, I'm going to use tomorrow as practice, then probably cancel.

I don't see why not.
