Long Term Study Plan

What's up people.

I have done some reading on the site so far, as well as searched the forum, but I haven't found much discussion on this topic...

I was wondering what people thought about long term study plans—8-10 months type plans. I plan on taking the June LSAT and am left wondering if I am better off waiting until I'm 6 months out to start (in order to prevent burnout) or begin studying now in order to maximize the chances I score well.

Thoughts? Concerns? Experiences?

Thanks y'all.

Many people prepare for eight months or longer before achieving their target score on an official administration so you would not be starting too early if you start now for the June 2014 LSAT.

Avoiding burnout mainly involves keeping a decent study/life balance and taking some days per week off studying. If you are shooting for a high score (high 160s, 170+), starting eight months out is a very good idea so that you leave yourself enough time to hopefully achieve that goal, plus extra time to re-take in October if necessary without pushing your applications late into the cycle.

There are many threads here about people on long term study plans since lots of people that frequent this forum start preparing for the LSAT long before they plan to take it, they probably just don't all use the key words 'long term study plan'. The '[XXX LSAT] Study Group' threads have many people on long term study plans.
