Guys, LG gets easier after 62, right? RIGHT? Lol. I spent the weekend basically doing nothing but logic games, trying to get myself back in shape... I felt good. And then PT62LG happened. I'll report after I'm done, but I would have taken a mauve velociraptor and an orange triceratops piloting a Zephyr 747 four times in a row over this LG section.
Okay but you liked the mauve dinosaur game! You're psyching me out btw haha

lol alright fair, fair :) I actually liked the Zephyr game too. They were both really different. So okay, I don't have a good funny analogy that actually works -- suffice it to say I just didn't like this LG!

With that said, I hit my goal today!
RC: -3
LR: -0
LG: -2
LR: -1

177 with this test's totally crazy curve. Definitely can't complain, but I'm still hoping that LG feels better again soon -- it's psyching me out bad.
Congrats!

One or two sections of RC are plenty for me in a day haha.

So I just finished 85 practice problems for LR over the last 3 days. Keeping it at x<1:15 per question.

My results are not great. My worst sections are

1. Strengthen/Weakness
2. Flaw
3. Assumption

Strengthen and weakness is my absolute worst. I am at about 60% correct for Flaw/Assumption, still low, but i am REALLY low on S/W.

Does anyone have a way on how to improve this question type?

Use this spreadsheet to check on which questions from which PTs are which section type. If you have the old PTs, it lets you drill specific question types -- which I think is what really can take LR to the next level :)

So this Saturday morning I think I'm going to make the trek out to my testing center just to make sure I'll be able to find it come February 8. I'll also bring along a PT and take it if I can find an open room.
Has anyone done this? /Has anyone started worrying about any of the practicalities of the actual test day? E.g. the photo, the plastic bag, food/sleep routine?

My test center is a high school... so I feel that it is in my best interest to not show up randomly one morning, lest I be escorted from the premises

Is anyone else PTing and drilling? I'm back to PTing 3xs a week and I'm trying to continue drilling. I've seen a huge improvement in my PTs since I've been drilling.

I was wondering how your schedules looks.

MWF PT, TRSS drill

I drill on test days sometimes too, but not consistently.

Checking in

Just took PT59

LG -1
LR1 -6
LR2 -4
RC -8
Ended up with a 166

I'm struggling with finishing RC under time. The second LR was tough, the QWERTY question was pretty hard... Hoping I can get my LR scores to -1 or -2. LG was pretty nice to me. I'm gonna review tonight, drill tommorow, and PT60 on Thursday.

Cool man, nice work on LG and good luck for 60 :) 166 is damned respectable, and you still have 2.5 weeks to study :-)

i feel like i just get my butt pounded by LG/LR all day. I don't like it. Then I cozy up to the sweet feel and gentle touch of logic games and she always treats me right!

The thing is, all these questions are the same thing. You're just doing different things to the stimulus.

The shifts in the stimulus should sorta direct you in the right way.

When reviewing, what are you doing wrong? Are you down to the two contenders?

I would recommend breaking up the material over 3 days. I'd do LG/RC/LR instead of all LR in 3 days. That helps me.

Approaching the problems for me...same stuff... spot the gap/shift/ and see what way I can weaken or strengthen.

PT61 - 164

Breakdown:

RC: -7 (animal comparative passage kinda screwed me, lost time in the last passage which was my easiest one)
LR1: -4 (timing threw me off and when I BR'd it was a -1)
LG: -2 (STUPID)
LR2: -6 (timing again that screwed me up at the end, which had tougher Q's)

Reviewed that a day ago. Took a break for a day and now I'm looking at 62 for a good jump into the high 160's.

Noticing I get stuck b/w 16-19 which kinda slows me down. I'm gunna power through them tomorrow and do it big. Let's go.

Good, thanks! No PT today, just drilling; I write PT63 tomorrow. 62 went well for me, and I'm hoping I keep within 2 points of that score through the rest. We'll see. These newer LG are still giving me hell, but I think I'll have them nailed back down soon.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
