Best LSAT Prep for RC and Overall

I started preparing for the LSAT about a month ago following the conclusion of my spring semester, and I began by reading all 3 Powerscore Bibles. I found the LG and LR Bibles to be effective, but I found the RC to be just OK.

As a result, I need much more practice with RC and I could use extra instruction for the other 2 sections as well. Currently, I'm about 8-12 points off of my target score (mid to high 160's). I currently score about a -4-5 LG, -5-7 LR, and a -7-9 RC, and I would like to improve on this as much as possible.

I am taking the October Exam, and have a lot of free time this summer/early Fall to prepare. I'm looking for some input in the best prep course/company.

I like Powerscore, but I find them weak for RC. Also, their course is $1295 and about 45min-1hr away from me, so I'm looking into some cheaper options. I'm also looking into online courses such as 7sage/Velocity, and with Velocity I did like the videos and they also seem to be very helpful. Velocity seems to have great reviews, and as a result I'm beginning to lean more towards that option. I'm mainly looking for some input from the community before making a $500-1200 investment.

Thanks everyone!

If you have time/money, get the 3 Manhattan LSAT books, as well as drilling packets and preptests from cambridgelsat.com.

If you want to get a sense of what our (Blueprint's) RC curriculum is like, you can take a look at this sample RC markup (the front page has the text of the passage, which is why it's edited). It doesn't get into how we teach the section, but it does walk through how we approach the passage, notations, and the questions.

Manhattan RC has a lot of good advice, but it's pretty short. To my knowledge, there is no RC book that's as thorough and in-depth as the LG and LR bibles. I think it's just the nature of the RC section.
