Scored a 160 in October 2012.

Looking for a 165+. I don't know if it's possible (made a jump from 146 diag), but I'm going to try my best.

Hopefully I can stay motivated. I haven't looked at anything LSAT for about a year. Lol

I think once you pass the 160+ range, getting a 165+ is definitely possible through self-study (and effort).

I had a 150 diag when I first started studying... about 4 months later I'm currently at the mid 160s range

Anybody read Gladwell's Outliers?

Studying for the LSAT is like laboring on a rice paddy in Southern China. It is meaningful work. There is a direct, tangible, and powerful relationship between effort and return. No one who can rise before dawn 360 days a year to study LSAT fails to make his family rich.

LSAT gives life meaning.

We will be exactly as successful as we are willing to struggle, toil, sacrifice, and strive toward our goals. With enough sustained effort, anything can be reeled into the realm of possibility.

I hope so! I'm going to try my best to stay active ITT. I am doing to LG/LR to get back into it.

Did I mention I had a 160 with -13 on RC? Lmao, I am dumb.

Anybody in the NYC area want to get an in-person study group together? Might be useful at this stage to exchange methods/approaches/materials/study schedules/motivational speeches. PM me if you're interested.

Checking in!

In the very likely event I don't break 170 on the Oct '13 admin, I'll be here hammering logic into my brain like it's no one's business.

How do you guys review RC?

I'm currently re-reading the passage and then re-answering each question by trying to locate the relevant information in the passage, with an emphasis on how I could've noted the relevant parts during my initial read (all of this before I check my answers).

Is there a more effective way of review for RC?

Checking in!

I'm starting with 145 and 150 cold diagnostics. Is getting a 168+ possible? LR: 16/25 & 12/25, LG: 14/23, and RC: 17/27. The LR is kicking my ass. If at all possible, I feel the RC section makes one feel like they need to learn how to read again. ANyone have some pointers for improvement?

Which PTs did you take for your diags?

Checking in. As much as I wanted to be ready for December 2013 and to apply this cycle I'm just not ready. I started at a 146 and now I'm at a 162, but I'm not gonna be at my goal of a 167+ in 40 days. I've gone back to basics- read then drill. My goal is to really understand this test.

Just got my Oct '13 score back; scored a 166 (right around my PT average). I studied for about two months with a BP course, and although it was a good foundation, I'm looking forward to self-studying my way to a 175+.

Here are the materials I'm planning on using:

-Manhattan 3 Set of Strategy Guides
-LSAT Trainer
-LG Bible
-Cambridge LR Qs by type (PT 1-38
-PT ~40-70

I scored fairly well on RC (-3) and LR1 (-1), but I think I misdiagrammed LG and I totally f'ed up LR2 (-7)
I would love some feedback on materials and strategies!
