yeah I only told my (tiger) mom later that night but I didn't tell my dad even though he's the chill one. I'll take her craziness over his quiet disappointment any day lol.

she went crazy and told my dad so it was a lose-lose lol. but the point is that a lot of times our family and friends won't understand why we postpone or why we have to lay low for a few months. All we can do is let them think whatever they want and be confident that the decisions we made are for the better in the long-run.

A bowl of pistachios and I just crushed 4 logic games with only -1 (had the right answer but read too quickly/incorrectly).

Wish this whole test was games.

I wish there was an LSAT camp.

Some place you go for a few months away from society where JY teaches Logic Games, Mike Kim and the Manhattan crew teach Logical Reasoning and some dude with an awesome beard with a PhD in philosophy teaches you Reading Comprehension.

It sounds like study hall heaven.

haha yea well.....right now she thinks its just a "possibility." My family and my friends seriously hate me right now. I graduated in December and I don't start work until July so it has basically been me and the LSAT for all this time. I only see people once - MAYBE twice - a week and only for a few hours at a time. My friends want to know where I've been, my girlfriend thinks I am putting the LSAT above her, my family is about ready to call an intervention.

I am not crazy with studying, usually 4 hours a day and sometimes a bit more depending on the mood I am in. I would study ALL day but my brain literally could not take that. So yea, it is definitely really tough to tell everyone I'm postponing. Sure, I could take the June test and get a decent score but, as I've said, I'm not going for mid-high 160s. I want to be safely in the 170s!

Unfortunately, I am much more forward thinking than the people close to me whom this test has ruined :(

EDIT: you know, its a shame. I come to TLS to vent my girl problems not because I legitimately feel like my relationship is in jeopardy from this test but because you guys are the only ones who truly understand. Even my attorney brother doesn't get it (TTT    ). So its really nice to be able to vent my frustrations without having people tell me "dude, stop studying. You're gonna do finnnnnnnnne." The reason why I said its a shame is because it used to be a GOOD THING to care so much about your future. I thought we were supposed to be one of those "driven" or "motivated" people that others look up to. Now I feel like our society (not to preach or anything...) loves mediocrity.

F*** that.

No shame here. Just think how great you'll feel when you get accepted to HYS. You'll look back and think, "Wow, that was totally worth it."

PT 55, scored my highest yet at a 174. I feel like a should have hit a 175 but I made a stupid mistake on LG and went -1. Though I did make some lucky guesses so I guess it evens out. Hope I can keep this up until June

Well, LSAT isn't all. neither is law school. but when we decided to attend law school, striving for the best is not for others but our own happiness. I can't imagine the joy of conquering the test. what an accomplishment feeling it will offer. Besides, LSAT is the only factor that we can control and the necessary prep needed for law school.
Having a relationship is very tough. And it's so natural for them to complain a little. But people who love you will understand the stake and your determination. Hanging there. (also thinking about postponing and in a relationship as well)

lol more emphasis on WASTE. I have no respect for Kaplan - not because of what people on here say about Kaplan - but because of my own experiences. I had a professor who taught Kaplan LSAT a few years ago. The caveat? She had never even taken the LSAT! What the hell is someone doing TEACHING the stuff they have never even experienced themselves. They let her take a proctored PT and when she scored a 16x, they were like "come teach for us!" It is a weird feeling knowing that even I could probably teach for Kaplan as a 90th percentile score is only about a 164. That's nuts.

I believe that you shouldn't teach anything unless you truly conquered it. Getting a 164 is not conquering. Getting a 164 makes you eligible for some nice schools but isn't saying much about your reasoning ability. 176 on the other hand......

I've had bad experiences ever since the SAT...for some reason I don't trust companies that say that they can properly teach you EVERY single exam in existence.

Another 168 on PT 51

LR -4
RC -5
LR -3
LG -2

After not doing anything LSAT for two weeks, I can't say I'm disappointed. Timing was a bit off. When will I ever get -0 on LR?!!!?

Off to review. An urgent 33 days left :!:

Are the 40s generally easier tests? I typically score low 168-172 but on tests 45 and 46 I repeated with 175s. Should I feel confident that I am improving or are these tests generally considered "easier" then the 60s, for instance. Any response would be appreciated.

I'm under the impression that the tests are supposedly "remarkably consistent". From what I hear, RC got tougher, LR got stranger, and LG is now on 2 pages per game (which has nothing to do with what you're asking, i guess).

I wouldn't put too much stock in which tests are easier than which. Just be confident enough to own any test no matter what # it is... and you (and I) should be fine!

I haven't TOO much exposure to the newer tests but I have heard the exact opposite. Care to explain?

Just finished drilling relative ordering. My goal for today is to finish every single game from PT 1-38. I am about halfway there....
