Minnesota
My dads side of the family is from around Minneapolis. I grew up in Texas though. Hence my market choices.

1L life is great. Being a full time student is easy, you know? Its very flexible because you can study whenever you want. Cold calls are nbd. The law is really not hard to learn. Plenty of time to go out, work out, and chill out. Although the curve kept me paranoid and made me want to study all the time.louierodriguez wrote:How's Minnesota? Sublime - Where do you go to school?
There are lots of different strategies. I used supplements more than my case book and focused more attention than most on exam writing.
We are in very similar situationssublime wrote:Nice.Nova wrote:Minnesota

In the midwest, probably like 12+ an hour... so like 30k a year. Lots of people do non profit and dont get paid though. The school does fund some non profit jobs though. Like they give you a few grand.sublime wrote:Nova wrote:Summer jobs are everywhere. Most dont pay good. Your 2L summer job is way more important.louierodriguez wrote:How about summer jobs?
Serious question - what is considered good/bad pay for a 1L summer gig?
Very few will get summer associate positions at biglaw firms after 1L. My best friend at law school has one though, and shes making like 20k over the summer.

Louie: what is your study plan. How are you drill g questions? What is your schedule? How are you holding yourself accountable?
Keep your eyes on the prize. You are doing a lot of background work, but I don't see a lazier focus on studying? I suggest you post your plan and then report as to where you are each day or so. You need direction and focus. Stay on it.

My eyes are on the prize though! I'm actually at work right now. It's 12:33 in the afternoon where I am at.
I'm going to talk to that guy with the LSAT Blog. Maybe he can give me a military discount for his 8 month study guide.

Lol... I'm not serious. It's a pain in the ass to set up a paypal acount though. Maybe he'll settle for a barter transaction. I could send him something from Diego Garcia. Maybe a T-Shirt? How about a coffee mug?sublime wrote:Seriously? It is $25....louierodriguez wrote:I don't have a study plan. I don't have a schedule.
