Study plan

Postby azditamo » Tue Jun 04, 2013 7:39 pm

I'm curious to see how people are studying, what books, prep course if any, guides if any, how many hours and what specifcally do you do when you start studying? More specifically do you focus on one section or do a little bit of all, how many PTs and what's your frequency?

I used the stuff recommended in Noodley's (Manhattan bundle/PSBs + lots or drilling with the early tests) . I would recommend it.

Are you just starting your studing? I would start with the PowerScore Bibles.

1.do you focus on one section or do a little bit of all,
2.how many PTs andwhat's your frequency

I studyed late July till the early December. I studied like 20-30 hours a week. I was working a 40 hour job.

1.I would focus on 1 or 2 topics (AR/LR/RC) a day.

2.I took like 30 PTs. 1 to 3 a week. Fewer at the beginning and less at the end.

How I actually studied changed through out the process

Focus in the begining:

1. Read the guides. Get a foundation. Understand the test.
2. Drill question types I had covered
3. Rarely take PTs

Focus in the middle (after finishing guides):
1. Drill drill drill
2. PT PT PT
3. Reference guides as necessary

FOCUS in the end:
1. PT PT PT
2. Drill drill drill
3. Reference guides as necessary.

Yeah I'm just starting. A little info about my experience. I took the June 07 with no prior knowledge of the test got a 148 took a month prep course not big 150 and 155 beginning and end. However I'm trying to get 170 plus to offset my GPA and get into a good school. I have the bibles the 10 actual books. Following this guide allong with another guide. viewtopic.php?f=6&t=41657 I'm at the advance linear games now. I work too so it's kind of hard to study.
