Help with a plan for October

I recently pulled out of the June test and signed up for October because I cant seem to get to the 170+ that I want. I am at 165-169. Ive had some outliers of course but nonetheless, I cant consistently hit 170. I'm not sure whats wrong, it appears that from test to test I'll have a specific section that hurts me more than usual and ruins it. LR is my weak section that Ive been working on. For example, I'll do good on LR and then get stumped on 2-3 on LG which is my best. RC is a -5 -6. Or I'll kill LG and have issues on LR/RC. Its so random I dont know what to do.

I postponed it, but October is SO far away that I dont know what sort of study schedule I should implement so I dont burn out but do improve to a 170+. I'm afraid that with 4 months and a good amount of material already used I'll burn out. You guys have any suggestions on what to do? Or maybe someone else is in this spot?

Thanks!

How about taking a couple weeks off to re-energize. Maybe even take a trip. Come back half way through June and give it another go. There is lots of material. Try adding the new LSAT Trainer from Mike E. to the mix. Try a few new books/companies in your next round of study.

Use the bibles to hone in on LG weaknesses

I think for sure I am going to get the LSAT Trainer, I read a couple of the chapters, or whatever was available, and it seems really good. As far as the LG, I usually go -1 -0 but the last PT I took, from my game set up I assumed I missed inferences and panicked so I had to move on and guess on 3 which I got wrong. Later on I tried the game and realized there were no more inferences anyway so it was all for nothing. Do you think that counts as LG weaknesses? Or just an outlier?

I was also thinking about taking some time off but Im afraid I'll come back and have lost everything. My skills...how much is too long? Also, is a schedule somewhere along the lines of 2-3 days on, 1-2 days off sufficient for these next 4 months without burning out?

Well, also consider the risk of not taking some time off: burn out.

It really does not sound like LG is a weakness dude, but then again, I'm no expert on this shit.

Good job pulling out of the June start date. It was a smart move on your part, I think. Plus it can only help you. What do you mean by "burn out"? I would just drill, drill, drill as much as possible. You'll start seeing gains in your score for sure with this.

Yea that is true. I suppose some time is needed to recoup. By burn out I meant that since I was signed up for June and based my studies off of that, I had a very intense schedule for the weeks (these weeks we are in now) leading up to the June LSAT, 2-3 PTs a week, drilling and reviewing in between, basically as much as I could. So I'd assume that keeping that up until October will mentally exhaust me possibly becoming counterproductive...hard time focusing, getting lower scores, forgetting what to do...everything blurring together..thats what I imagine burning out to be.

Thanks it helps to know that it was right. Part of me wanted to chance it since I was almost there and take the June test. Family and friends don't seem to understand how this works so all I get is "Go for it"..."Youll do great" ..."Theres always another time" etc. I think for LG I'll focus on it by doing a few games a day and just fine tuning that last bit. Even almost as a warm up to my LR/RC drilling.
