Prem: Intellectual Progress ----> Mine full implications ----> Intellectual Discipline

Conc: (I got stuck right here on the conclusion).
Please help show me where I went wrong and how to tackle questions like these in the future. Thanks so much!

You can't post the actual language here. Edit your post and just reference the PT/section/question, OP.

You're mixing up your sufficient and necessary conditions. The question asks which of the following is a sufficient assumption that will validate the professor's conclusion ("Therefore, this argument for freedom of thought fails"), directing us to answer choice C.

Thanks bee that was helpful. I will do so.

Assuming you are referring to PT 41, S1, Q19

So basically, in the stimulus we have the introduction of an issue, a defense of one view, the author conceding a point, and the author's conclusion.

But what's really important here is the phrase, which the author claims is true, below, and the author's conclusion:

freedom of speech ---> entitled to express views

Core: Just because they're entitled to express these views doesn't mean that anyone should listen to them.

Answer choice E captures this perfectly.

Honestly, I not even sure which question you're talking about because PT 41, LR1, Q1 isn't what you described in the first post. And PT 41, LR1, Q19 doesn't really conform to the conditionals in your first post either.

I will try to message you the question. Thanks.
