Can you or Dre put up a review shortly? I'm in the market for a new sharpener.

Yeah, I'll make a review for the Brass Bullet asap.

I just took a full length test with the Mirado Black Warrior. Wow, this is a great pencil. It was light weight and a quick bubbler. I didn't find the circular grip too be an issue, but I can see why people with sweaty hands would. If you have dry hands, I highly recommend this pencil. It is on par with the Dixon Ticonderoga.

Preliminary use of the Dixon Tri-Write has not been so favorable. The grip does appear to be rather uncomfortable. I will report back after more extensive testing.

The Helix racing caps are very nice and good at erasing. I would recommend breaking them in a bit before an intense full-length exam. When fresh, the tip of the eraser cap can be extra pliable and difficult to properly apply to the paper.

for those with sweaty hand issues,
I have found the following to be quite useful for helping maintain a clean strong grip on my pencils (especially when used in combination):

I study with assorted whatever I have pencils.

I do have a box of black Ticons PREPPED AND READY for June 10.

Need to get a good eraser still. My pencil sharpener works well, and I use it instead of my electric one for consistency sake.

The below is brillant, Dr. Dre.

Now, imagine your pencil's lead breaking in the middle of a mental inference during logic games. The time it takes to switch pencils would probably be too late to write that inference down. The LSAT, especially those logical games, is about writing everything down.

Make sure you practice with them A LOT before using them on game-day. Just to get used to them.

I've been using the blackwing palomino 102 and the erasers are incredible. Plus the erasers are easily swapped out so you can put in a new eraser whenever you want. However, I am concerned that they are not number 2 pencils. Does anyone know if they are in fact number 2 pencils that are legal for the test?

I've heard good things about these pencils. Can you poast pictures and give me a more in-depth review?

They definitely feel sturdier and less likely to break. However, this is relative to the cheap ass pencils I bought at CVS.

This for sure:

Oh my god, I can't think of anything worse than using an unknown style of pencil when the game is on the line. Uncomfortable grip, slippery finish, bad eraser, hard wood, etc., all of these things can be planned for if you properly prepare, but if you don't, you are screwed.

One of my knocks on the yellow ticonderoga is their perceived daintiness in comparison to other pencils. Sometimes I feel like I'm going to snap it in half when erasing. I'll give the black ticondergas a try.

For a period of 2 weeks I have been training with a short black tricon (it sits next to the taller black tricon for comparison) and have been bewitched, transformed, and transfixed by its usage.

The short length allows for greater precision and swiftness. The pencil is lighter, so one is able to move faster when diagramming, underlining premises & conclusion, and creating marks on RC passages. When a mistake occurs, the pencil permits an effortless 180° turn to expunge the error.

But, alas, one is only able to derive this benefit after rigorous training: utilizing the pencil during multiple LSAT questions.

That doesn't look like a tricon. I take it you like the long point better?

+1.

I thought pencils were pencils, until I started sharpening them the night before the exam. Those pieces of @#$% broke several times during the sharpening. Because I was so paranoid, I sharpened the entire box and put the pencils in my bag in the event that they broke during an exam, I could easily replace them with another. I must have looked stupid having 12 pencils on my desk. Lesson learned.
