Tombow Mono HB is as nice as I have seen on this regard.PourMeTea wrote:You might be a palomino blackwing kind of person.Sliew99 wrote:Hi guys, kind of a stupid question but are there any pencils that write similar to pens? I just hate using pencils and the way they write. I've got a pack of the black ticonderogas and they have a decent feel to them but I always end up reaching back for my pen when PTing.

True, but the standalone erasers Pilot Foam eraser is far nicer than any eraser found attached to a pencil.PourMeTea wrote:Tombows don't have erasers

Erasers on a pencil are pretty important for the LSAT. What if you knock your eraser off the table or instinctively turn your pencil over? You don't want to waste any time.haus wrote:True, but the standalone erasers Pilot Foam eraser is far nicer than any eraser found attached to a pencil.PourMeTea wrote:Tombows don't have erasers

Re: What #2 Pencil Should I use?
So I've been a loyal DX-Ticon Black user since I began PTing. The erasers on these bad boys are so good that I not longer need my standalone.
BUT, I LOVE, LOVE the look of those Blackwings. And the name alone is pretty damn cool. The price point is kinda tough to swallow. Though the Amazon description mentioned John Steinbeck and I almost hit the buy button.
Anyone ever switch to the Blackwings? How are the erasers?

A bit of an off the board pick; but I picked up a 10-pack of staedtler wopex. It has a nice feel/pick up, writes smoothly in addition to having a pretty nice eraser.

It looks nice. But again, one of those that don't have a built-in eraser.Sliew99 wrote:A bit of an off the board pick; but I picked up a 10-pack of staedtler wopex. It has a nice feel/pick up, writes smoothly in addition to having a pretty nice eraser.

This is in no way an admission of being wrong regarding Mirado Black Warriors, but I did just order Dixon Triconderoga Blacks from Amazon. Arriving Tuesday.

I'm going to PT with mine on Saturday, to make the final decision for game day. Not having both an eraser on your pencil and a regular eraser is TTT.SteelPenguin wrote: Erasers on a pencil are pretty important for the LSAT. What if you knock your eraser off the table or instinctively turn your pencil over? You don't want to waste any time.

This is a thread that has both levity and seriousness. Reminds me of a paradox question. And it was all started by the warped mind (compliment) of Dr. Dre.WaltGrace83 wrote:Only on TLS is there FORTY pages on a PENCIL.

It's a hall of fame thread.

I haven't taken a single PT this prep run with a non-mechanical pencil.

I have been using a mechanical pencil for all of my PT this prep run.

Any ideas on how I can display an image in the text box? For some reason the [img] isn't working for me. Do I need to reach a post threshold?

Re: What #2 Pencil Should I use?
My stepdad was an engineer and these were what he always used whenever he was on his drafting table. If it's good enough for engineers, then it's good enough for the LSAT.bee wrote:holy fack those are 6 bucks for four erasers O___O they better be made out of unicorn turds or something.BruinRegents wrote:http://www.amazon.com/Staedtler-Mars-Pl ... Re: What #2 Pencil Should I use?
Mars Plastic is a nice general eraser, but a tough rough on thin paper.bee wrote:okay i havent got the time right now to read through 40 pages of pencil gloriousness but can someone rec me an amazing eraser? i just found out that i can't use my mechanical eraser and that's killing me a little inside. i use black ticons and their eraser is great, but i want a back up just in case.

Pilot Foam eraser is better on thin paper, but it wears faster, although this is not an issue for the LSAT (been using mine daily for several months).
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
