method of reasoning questions

It doesn't matter - you're just trying to describe how the speaker/arguer is making their point. Don't waste time analyzing validity in these questions.

Agreed. I don't ever remember asking myself "is this valid?", but to answer your question while the invalid arguments are usually the faulty reasoning questions, I wouldn't rule out the possibility that you could get an invalid argument on a methods of reasoning.
