Older logic games are giving me a lot of trouble.

Post by eric922 » Sat Jan 12, 2013 10:34 pm

I bought the Cambridge LSAT book that has all the logic games from tests 21-40 in them and I'm having a lot of trouble. Granted, logic games are by far my worst section, but when I work on games from the 52-61 book I seem to do a lot better. Does anyone else have trouble with older ones or is it just a sign I need to drill more.

Older logic games rely a bit more on making inferences and on the initial set-up. I don't think it's a bad thing, I would just practice more. While you may see some differences between those tests and the 50-60s, they can be solved with the same skills and the same type of reasoning. To give you an idea, I saw almost 200 games before I was really comfortable with everything that came my way, so if you're having trouble getting consistent scores on LG, you might just want to do a lot of LG sections so you can make sure you've seen everything under the sun.
