Imagining a JS1 email and JS2 phone call.
And a Nick Saban quote of course.
"How much does this game mean to you? Because if it means something to you, you can't stand still."

i focus on the fact that all of the top scorers i've heard of (177+) spent an enormous amount of time and effort in their prep to get their scores. with persistence, it can be done. if you have the time you have no excuse not to read every page, squeeze every drop of effort. there's over 65 preptests to understand. etc.

one TLSer said that he would imagine getting his LSAT score and opening it up to find a 163, that motivated him to work harder. i just try to remember every day how important the test is and what doing well on it can mean for my life.

Someone posted this a long while back. It scared the hell out of me because it's true, especially for the non-olds.

Mr. Pancakes wrote:This test is the most important thing that you have done in your life up to this point. It will decide what school you go to, what town you live in, what people you will hangout with and who you marry, what jobs you will get, the area you will work in, what kind of debt you will have, and ultimately decide the course of your life from here on out. The slightest error could change everything.

This is what you have been studying endless hours for.

It's time.

If you think about it too long, it'll keep you up at night.

Quoting TLS user "twentypercentmore" in another thread:

"For the next 6 months to 9 months of your life, someone's going to pay you 200k in the short term, and 2.5m+ in the long term to study for the LSAT. That's like winning the frigging lottery by putting in a few hours a day of effort max."

I taped pictures of Columbia all over my desk at work. I consider it my "way out."

Also, I put one on my mirror for good measure.

My dream is to live and practice in NYC and I know there are only a handful of schools that can give me that option.

Hard work.

That and imagining that there is a future in getting of this island (hawaii).

Growing up here, the locals called it "rock fever", where staying on this island is having no future (and sadly its sorta true). Only those that want an actual career and future try to get off this island because there is really no point in staying here unless you don't mind just living off paycheck to paycheck. Although there is nothing wrong with that nor do i have anything against it, its just not what I want.
