DID THE NEW LSAT CHANGE?? OCTOBER/DECEMBER 2012

Post by nosleeptillsuccess » Fri Nov 30, 2012 1:29 am

The October 2012 test was different/harder than usual.
I just took the PT and I'm now nervous for the Dec 2012 because the approach is different!!!!

IDK What the hell is going on.

Has anyone run into this problem??

The approach is different? What are you talking about?

The only recent change I can think of is the (welcomed) move to span games over two facing pages.

The LR didn't change??

It seemed like it's more word matching than anything else??

I really don't see what you're talking about.

Care to mention a specific example?

I took the October 12 LSAT, many practice tests and sat for the December 11 LSAT. October 12 wasn't different. In retrospect, even Games was straightforward. I'm not a big fan of games but they were kind of fun.

October 2012 was a fairly straightforward LSAT. Nothing new.

I agree with you. I felt like the Oct. PT was too flirty for my taste.

Yeah this one was way different from the others..

To help you all out I realized the whole "rule of bringing in outside information" is in fact super important because the October 2012 LSAT punished me for not paying attention to that.

I realized it's more of a matching game now..

There will be people on here that will try to calm ur nerves to make you not worry about it, but listen to me DO NOT ASSUME ANYTHING unless it asks you to.

You're imagining things. Test was not different in any significant way and the curve was very appropriate (easy LR, mid-level LG, hard RC, so -10 sounds about right)

What do you mean by matching?

You shouldn't be bringing in that much outside information to the test anyway.
