Is it just me, or are the LGs in PT 66 one of the easiest?
FINALLY -0 on LG with 3 minutes to spare. Maybe I'm finally getting it.
I really needed that one.

Tomorrow's game plan is basically review PT68, take an RC section and some light LR drilling.

I want to break 160.objection_your_honor wrote:What's your target score? Last few tests?okaygo wrote:I might not be ready for Monday.
Last 4 PTs are: 158, 164, 162, 162.
I know this seems right around my target area, but I was drilling LG today and I just suck at it and now I'm just mad at myself because I could be hitting a consistent 165+ if I was better at those.

Re: JUNE 2013 Study Group / Study Partner Thread
Man, so I was like a section and a half in to a practice test. Then I just realized that my mind needs a break probably more than it needs what will be a drop in the bucket of my test prep.
My past tests have been from most recent to least, 173, 172, 170, 170, 171, 171, 169, 169, 164, 159, 163. That's the complete history. I've been doing Testmasters so the vast majority of my work has been drilling the shit out of stuff. I think maybe instead of dragging my mind through the dirt on RC and LR, it might just be better to do like 3 LG sections and then watch a movie, then do a section of each LR, RC, and LG tomorrow, and then chill out.
I'm pretty sure that the 173 and 172 were a result of me not being mentally fatigued, and it's not like I'm actually going to learn something new between now and Monday; it's about me keeping what I know fresh.
Agree or disagree, or any other advice?

I agree, in theory, but I dont know about it in practice as I tend to believe that if you don't workout a certain muscle, then that muscle will become weaker. That being said, I'm doing the same thing as you and did the same thing as you today.isuperserial wrote:Man, so I was like a section and a half in to a practice test. Alright all, that time has come. Did some review today and will do some warm-ups on Monday but I am done with my overall prep for the test. At the same time I am going to retire from the thread until after the test.
I will see you all on the waiters thread two days from now. Good luck everyone, we are going to crush it.

Re: JUNE 2013 Study Group / Study Partner Thread
Just finished my last PT. PT 66 for a 173 which was my original score goal when I started studying. That said, I'm hoping for better on test day. I feel like I go into it with one of the largest realistic score ranges. My last half dozen plus tests have seriously been scattered throughout the 170's with a 180 and a few 179's. I'm hoping the motivation of the real thing will bring out my January Flacco but most importantly, I just need to avoid my lows.

Re: JUNE 2013 Study Group / Study Partner Thread
Welp, today killed me.
Was screwing up on everything this entire week, so I decided to take two days off doing any real testing just to get my head back in the game. Took PT 66 today. Got 165. Single worst score I've gotten in 3 months and roughly 5 points lower than my previous worst.
First time I've been a -8 on a LG since... Last September? And I've taken this test before back in September. I got a -3 that time.
This is killing me. My previous confidence and certainty that I will get a 170+ this time is gone. It's obvious that I have some serious issues, either with certain question types or just horrendous nerves, and taking the test on June is stupid.
Back to the fucking grind. Except no idea what to study on because I've just about memorized PT 40-50 and 50-62ish are solid enough that I think I remember a lot of the crap.
Seriously, fuck you LSAT.

Damn, I feel for you. At least (no matter how much it sucks to here now) you identified problems before making those mistakes again on the real deal. Here is a thread that kept me going after I had used literally every available PT (1-64, SPA/B/C/, 17.5, J2007) for my first take: http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 6&t=150072 . I hope it will be useful to you.magickware wrote:Welp, today killed me.

I can vouch for the advice given there as well. I've found LR to be very, very easy now because I simply don't think have to "think" as much during the test -- this has been in the case even with PTs I have not seen before (66, 67, 68).

I've been amazingly calm and relaxed this weekend but it really is crazy how much pressure is on this test. For many of us 2 or 3 points may be worth millions in future potential income.

Ya, but for many of us it will be our first take, and therefor will not be set in stone if we are not happy with it. Thereby leaving a sigh of relief for most of us.NoWorries wrote:I've been amazingly calm and relaxed this weekend but it really is crazy how much pressure is on this test. Re: JUNE 2013 Study Group / Study Partner Thread
I'm just imagining the October thread in a couple of months with people discussing their scores on PT 69... I actually find it hilarious that PT 69 will be available online in PDF for others to purchase in just a month or so... relieves the stress a bit! It's not some insurmountable task.
On a separate note, Preptest A game 3 is brutal, reminds me of PT 68 game 4 a bit..
