Modern RC Strategies

Postby hallbd16 » Tue Nov 20, 2012 7:46 am

I know the differences have been discussed between older RCs and newer RCs. I agree with the masses that say the questions are more dense, require more inferences, are worded more tricky (which also results in being more time consuming... meaning I have less time to refer to the text).

My data suggests I am struggling more- pre 40 RC I average -3 per passage, post PT 55 RC I am -6/7 per passage.

Does anyone have any tangible strategies for addressing the phenomena/ my weaknesses? Would you suggest re-doing modern RCs over the next couple weeks going into the December tests, as there is clearly a limited amount of material (I am down to drilling RCs 1-10 now)
