the earlier prep tests

Being that some of the earlier rests had different kinds of LG, should these obsolete LG strategies be learned?

Yes they should. Every game should be learned. This October a slightly unusual game threw many people off. I felt like my practice of strange early games made me more flexible and calm attacking it.

This really is the perfect mentality. It's not that these exact games will come up again, but the more variety you study the easier it is to adapt to new games.
