Take a third time?

Post by BSC » Sat Nov 10, 2012 3:43 pm

So I have a 169 and 171 with a 3.88 (hopefully 3.9 after graduation)

This second time around my PT average was around a 175-176, but nerves on the first section and the -10 curve screwed me. The only reason I'm considering retaking is the possibility of HYS, but if that would require something ridiculous like a 178, then I'll settle with what I have.

Should I think about retaking?

Are there any compelling reasons why you couldnt retake? It sounds like you are still an undergraduate

Nothing's keeping me from it, I'm just wondering if taking it 3 times is a turn off for these schools no matter what I get.

Not a problem. If the third is above a school's median they don't really care about the other takes. Small caveat being HYS. Columbia sure as hell is gonna throw money at you if you break 172.
