Retook PT64 at a public library this morning: WORST PLACE EVER
LR:-1
LG:-1
LR:-1
RC:-2
Scaled Score:177

Was not expecting a focus-training sesh today, my local library turns out to be way worse than B&N and I'm so incredibly drained right now. I've taken this as an actual test Oct 2011, and again 2.5 months ago, so I'm sure my familiarity gave me a lot of points. I really wanted to -0 this one, but mistakes add up really quick. Atleast I got a few taking points to study, and I'm sure my concentration will be stronger after today's hell.

Feels nice to have a PT done this early, I'll try to crank out a few LG/RC sections tonight as well.

Wait what?? There's a facebook group? I too want to creep on everyone. What's this group called?

It's a private group. If you want an invite PM me a link to your profile and I'll add you.

In other news, just did PT 48, fucking -8 Curve... wtf is that?

-1LR
-1LG :x
-2RC

175

I'll take -4 raw score any day, but this was the nastiest curve i've ever seen... The test did feel easier than normal though, so probably still fair.

So we did the same on LG. But I bombed RC.

Boo. Hiss.

Well, fuck. -14 for a 169 scaled.

Maybe you should focus on LG only and review each and every LG section you do with Velocity between now and the Fall of King's Landing?

That's what I did in October (only LG up until test day) because I thought I was all set on RC and LR and figured if anything was going to trip me up it would be a really weird logic game.

Turned out to be a pretty good idea in retrospect. Did well on zones, which I partially attributed to the fact that I was on such a "games" roll. But then I did really badly on RC, and who knows if I would have done better if I'd drilled some RC before the test. YMMV.

In December 2011, 57% of my wrong qs were RC or LG.

In October 2012, 79% of my wrong qs were RC or LG.

I did not drill exclusively for either section prior to either exam. :|

On a less positive note, the paper I wrote for class this morning might be the worst thing I've ever written. Whoops.

Nice work!

This is more like you, I know you can get something like this on your real test too

Hey man, thats not bad at all on a FRESH TEST.

I was gonna warn you earlier, but I thought this one's LG was pretty rough (hence the curve), I'm actually going to drill it more since I barely finished this one on time myself.

I would be chewing on my neighbor by the end of the test with that meal.

To chew on your neighbors? You'd like that, wouldn't you.

I might just eat a big steak and a loaf of multigrain. I got hungry in the middle of my first administration. Never again.

Lots of protein, limited sugar/carbs.

Omelette good, waffle bad.

What about those protein granola bars? Anyone ever try those?

I would be wary of the protein granola bars... they are usually packed with sugar/carbs. Definitely go with eggs... I would also recommend anything with "good fat" such as almonds.

I ate a luna bar + coffee for breakfast and a banana during the break in October.

I'll probably go for oatmeal this time.

Eggs, greek yogurt & whole grain toast or eggs, oatmeal and fruit. I protein load pretty hard every morning anyway, so test day is no different. I take a coconut water, some Planter's NutRtion mix and a Balance bar for my snack.

The problem for me with a.m. tests is coffee and the resulting bladder situation. I may get up extra early just to caffeine up. If only I'd done well enough in June to avoid this retake. The later test time was PERFECT.

I'm considering a Sugar Free Red Bull bump on top of a small amount of coffee vs. my usual 6 cup routine. I don't drink caffeine the rest of the day, but in the morning I must have a lot of it.

Any thoughts on 5 Hour Energy shots before the test?

Less volume so there shouldn't be a need to pee as with coffee.

I am not a morning person, I need something to wake me up for an 830 exam. I've been adjusting my sleep so I've been waking up at 7am the past week or so. But I still feel groggy until around 1030.
