Was supposed to start getting up at 8:30 AM every morning to PT, but couldn't fall asleep until 4:00 AM last night. So there goes that plan. Also, starting to worry about burning out before Saturday. (Part of the reason I couldn't sleep last night was because I honestly started fearing the idea of taking a PT. Never felt that before, and I think it's not a good thing...) So, new plan:

Bedtime = 10:00 PM every night.

Today: Spaced-Out PT 57 (take one section right now, one after my class at 3:00, one after dinner, etc.)
Tuesday: PT 65 (w/ RC experimental) @ 9:00 AM sharp
Wednesday: PT 58 (w/ RC experimental) @ 9:00 AM sharp
Thursday: PT ?? (w/ RC experimental) @ 9:00 AM sharp
Friday: Spaced-Out PT ??

Thoughts? I need to do something every day to stay at this level I'm at right now.

Basically my plan. I think i'm gonna take off thursday (still light drilling though) to prevent burnout. I definitely don't want to take Friday off, and I think taking thursday off will do enough to prevent burnout.

I don't think it's a great idea to take so many full-length timed tests (assuming that's what they are Tuesday-Thursday) so close to the test. Even pulling one bad score could really adversely effect your psyche. IMO it'd be better to drill certain areas and tweak what could possibly be off. Also, assuming your "level" is a higher one you should probably just focus on more difficult questions as the first 10-15 Qs on an LR section, for example, should be a breeze. Somebody please tell me if this is not good advice since it's what I'll be doing heading into Saturday.

My plan for the week:

Monday: Take PT 64 (just did)
Tuesday: Review PT 64 and do light LG/RC drilling.
Wednesday: Take PT 65.
Thursday: Review 65 and do light LG/RC drilling.
Friday: Take PT 66, but will not bother checking my score or the wrong answers. Either it will make me overconfident because I dominated or it will create doubts because I did badly (I know there is a third option, shut up). The purpose of this PT it to keep myself in the groove and at this point, it doesn't matter what you score.
Saturday: Rape

Just finished PT 65:

LR: -5
LG: -7
RC: -6
LR: -8

75/161

I'm not happy but I know part of the problem was that in LG I completely misread a rule in the last game and went 2/7 on that game. I'm going over the LR questions that I got wrong and drilling those question types later on today, I might do a timed section depending on how I feel. RC I'm OK with, with the exception of two PTs where I guess I just wasn't focused my RC has been -4 to -7 which I can live with. My games are also, with the exception of this test, -1 to -3 which I can also live with. I'd love to get my LR down to -10 or less total, I've done it a few times so I feel like it's possible to get it there by Saturday. I'm doing PT 66 tomorrow and 67 Thursday and doing the same thing as far as reviewing LR, Wednesday and Friday I'm drilling LR and most likely throwing in a timed section, most of the ones I get wrong are towards the end (18+) and I'm pretty sure it's because that's where I start rushing and going back to a, "OK, well that sounds good," method instead of really thinking about what's going on.

A quick shout out to all of my fellow October takers!

I just got the great news that I will be off to my number 1 choice next fall!

I am stopping by in this thread in an effort to give everyone some motivation as you guys come into the final stretch to test day. I had to retake the LSAT as well and I know how difficult studying for it again can be, but it pays off! Most of you in this thread are way smarter than me, and I just hope that when you all kill December's test and are off to HYS you keep in touch!

Good luck everybody and keep up the hard work.

+1

Also, just had my first encounter with mauve dinos. It wasn't so hard as it was time-consuming. Ended up going -2 on the whole section because I didn't have time to finish the last game, which actually tripped me up more than dinos.

Congrats, that's awesome

Also, just did PT 49

0LG
3LR
3RC

174

Was having a hard time focusing on the first LR (where i missed all 3) so I took a lunch break after that section and came back feeling a lot better. Overall not a bad performance considering how bad i thought that first section was going. No more tests with low blood sugar... and more rc drilling

Huge congrats, brother!

Took PT 66 today. No point. Knew pretty much every LR from reviewing it before October but never went over RC or LG so that was still useful. -3 on RC and -0 on LG

Doing a few random LR sections from 30s and 40s and some binary game drilling to keep me fresh there then 67 tomorrow or Wednesday

I'm on my fourth day in a row of PT's and I'm hitting that wall that you ran into. I hit 174 today with a -1 LR, -2 LG, and -5 RC. The LR, one of the LG, and four of the RC were basically just moronic misses. Only 2 of them were legit. I think taking tomorrow off from PT's and taking one on Wednesday is a good bet for both of us.

I'm doing timed sections instead of full tests. I kept getting 170ish, but I felt my focus slipping and my brain frying.

Until five minutes ago I was -0 on every LG from 48 until 51's -2.

Conditional sequencing . . . is the worst thing ever.

"If X comes earlier than Y then Z must come before Q or P but not both."

:?

my my, what a busy group of posters you all have been. looks like everyone is kicking ass at levels way above their previous scores. nice. so proud.

this week-- PTs on location TTh, sections in bizarre locales. best thus far was an RC section on a plane hit by turbulence.

Got a 170 yesterday on the bus and -2 on an LG section today. WHAT IS HAPPENING TO ME?

My morale is very low. I'm seriously considering not taking the test on Saturday, but I won't cancel until Friday night.

I just did it. My first ever -0 LG section.

Granted, it was a stand-alone LG section, not part of a PT take, but still.

Finished it in 32 minutes. Feels so good.

It seems like everybody is scoring low these last few days, so maybe this will help...

We've basically been cramming for this test the last month. It's been crazy hectic, especially since most of us either have school or jobs or both. We're probably all a little burned out. Don't kill yourself this week trying to learn things because it probably won't stick. I'd be willing to bet that by the time Friday rolls around, people will be feeling a little better.
