I found PT 50 to have pretty challenging RC as well, but still, 172 is pretty awesome considering you went -5 in RC!

Mace was stuck up and rejected Anakin from Jedi Law.

Good thing Qui-Gon put him on the waitlist.

BitterSplitter wrote:Hey everybody new poster but been on tls for a few months lurking about. I'm retaking in Dec from Oct and only started studying about three days ago. Been feverishly trying to finalize my PS and get all my addenda squared away for apps though. Did not get to study today because I woke up a little late and I wanted to try to push out all of my law school apps by tonight. Going to need an extra day for that. I was just wondering if you guys are worried about apps right now also or are you waiting until after you take in dec? Is it going to help submitting early if they are going to wait for your dec score anyways? should I stop wasting valuable study time for apps and just push forward with lsat prep? (i'm about six or seven points away from my ideal score)

tl;dr= are you sending out your apps before dec test? does sending it in now help if they wait for your score anyways?

Thanks!

-Bitter

I agree with Worm. If I were you, I'd get LORs all locked up now, but other than that I'd devote all my time to studying for the LSAT and then use the 4 weeks between the LSAT and the date when you get your score to finish the apps. That should be more than enough time. That way you can still send out apps the day you get scores back, but it won't cut into study time.

No novembeard here unfortunately. Currently looking for a job. Beards do not go over too well with the prospective employers.
Disqualified.

Do you think I should send out my applications early to the schools where my lsat score is already above their 75th percentile and let them evaluate it without the december score so I can still get the early boost?

Yeah, I guess that's a good idea. Although if your score improves, you might be better off waiting until after you get your December score because that way you'll get more money.

First PT since October...there's some work to do.

PT 52:
LR: -4
LG: -7
LR:-7
RC: -4

78/162

This was pretty much where I was at in October as far as the score goes so I'm not that surprised. Games I was rusty on, I haven't had a chance to look at them yet and these were the first games I've done since zones (not counting the one I tried and failed at on election night), I knew it wouldn't be pretty when it took me 12 minutes to do the first game. Getting back into studying I had been more focused on LR and RC since that's where I was losing the most points (I was almost always going -13 to -15 on LR). I know for the last two sections my cat was an issue, when he's in my room he's a distraction and when he's outside and wants to get in he's noisy so from now on I'm just gonna put him another room while I take PTs. I also noticed I changed some right answers to wrong answers which I tend to have a habit of doing, I hate just sitting there when I have extra time but going over answers I was unsure of generally seems to do more harm than good. I wanna be at 165+ by test day, with my GPA and applying this late I feel like anything less leaves me pretty screwed.

Hey team, new poster here..but I've also been lurking for a month or so. Was PTing consistently between 168-170, scored 162 on October - I wish I could say LG killed me but it didn't, only went -2 and I'm almost always -0; I got more wrong on LR2 than I've ever gotten wrong in a section before, which is what did me in. I had it as my last section, following the frustrating LG, so I'm hoping I can contribute this at least partially to being flustered/tired at that point? Cherry on top of it all, was I found out last Thursday that I had strep throat hours before the scores were released, so I wasn't physically able to start studying until Monday. Took June 2007 yesterday as a starting point after only reviewing RC Monday and Tuesday, scored a 165 which I suppose isn't a horrible place to start, especially considering I was a little out of it - I live in Seattle, so there was a lot of celebrating to do Tuesday night. Anyways, looking forward to getting through this with you all!

Haha yup I'm roughly in the same situation as you in terms of PTs to real score. LR is what did me in as well. I'm just trying to work on being more systematic with LR right now instead of relying so much on intuition. I'm 1/5 of the way through Cambridge's LR guide and I think it's helping a bit in terms of teaching a process for thinking through LR.

I'm also interested if anybody learned something helpful from Manhattan's review tonight.

Finished PT 52 just now:
LR1: -3
LG: -7
LR2: -3
RC: -4

83/165

Big improvement from my October score, but frustrated by games. I either get -1 or -2 or I completely botch them like I did tonight. No pattern at all. Shitty thing is, I'm 75% done with the Manhattan LG strategy guide, so not really sure where to go from here. I guess I'll just keep taking practice tests and hope for continued improvement....

le sigh.
