Re: December 2012 Re-takers
Did the last ten nat sciences Cambridge RCs while at work today. (very noisy environment, it's a lot harder to drown out 1 or 2 people talking than a steady hum of activity at a coffee shop, I think). Not terribly pleased. Went 54/62, normalizing that to a 28 q section of hard RCs, it's -4

After reading up Manhattan RC guide, did PT 9 RC slightly untimed (used more of a stopwatch). Still went -6.

Haven't read manhattan but you may just need more practice. Take a few passages alone to actively practice their strategies. I know with lr and lg it didn't click for me the first passage out of the gate. Had to adapt my own style to theirs to make it workboblawlob wrote:After reading up Manhattan RC guide, did PT 9 RC slightly untimed (used more of a stopwatch). Still went -6.

I've been drilling LG's by type and I'm seeing great results--not so rusty anymore. I just don't know how to prepare for the new hypothetical-based LG's.

Re: December 2012 Re-takers
Just for kicks, if anybody is having trouble with questions on any of the sections (LR, LG, and RC) and you can't get somebody on here to answer, Manhattan runs a site you can use.
http://www.manhattanlsat.com/blog/2010/ ... lanations/
Not every single answer is there, and it's basically just a forum moderated/answered by a couple of Manhattan tutors, but it's still useful.

Kaplan isn't providing a test number on this one it is just PrepTest February 1997, Section 4.mrizza wrote:Which 1997 test? You can still get some of them. For instance, Superprep PT's are all February releases.gguuueessttt wrote:I thought Feb tests were unreleased!zniha wrote:Kaplan isn't providing a test number on this one it is just PrepTest February 1997, Section 4.mrizza wrote:Which 1997 test? Re: December 2012 Re-takers
Good lord. I just hit the first LG (PT 24, game 3) that's stumped me in a long time. I couldn't get my brain around the diagram and missed one on top of taking 15 minutes to solve it. UGH. It wasn't even that hard.

Re: December 2012 Re-takers
B is wrong because of the second rule. If it stops at R on trips 1, 4 and 5 then for the consecutive period 2-3 it never stops at R and breaks that rule. A is right because Q would be 1, 2 and 4; without any gaps of 2.zniha wrote:Kaplan isn't providing a test number on this one it is just PrepTest February 1997, Section 4.mrizza wrote:Which 1997 test?
