Taking the LSAT multiple times?
I'm registered to re-take my LSAT tomorrow but I'm wondering if most schools nowadays just take the best score rather than average the scores? I got a 165 last time and I'm trying to reach 170. But the problem is, I haven't studied anything since then so I'm afraid my score will actually go down rather than go up.
Should I just take it tomorrow and then, if I get bad vibes, just cancel it? Does that count towards the "3 LSAT takes within 2 years" tally?

If you cancel it after you've taken the test then it does count towards your three tries - but if you withdraw before the deadline (tomorrow) then it doesn't.

Oh thanks! Do law schools these days care about the highest score only? or they do use the average of the scores?CardozoLaw09 wrote:If you cancel it after you've taken the test then it does count towards your three tries - but if you withdraw before the deadline (tomorrow) then it doesn't.

June 06/2011 First Test - Canceled
October 02/2011 Second Test
October 05/2012 Third Test - The one coming up
So let's say that I took tomorrow's LSAT and I screwed it over so I canceled it.
That hits the 3rd within the 2 year mark. How long would I have to wait until I can take it the 4th time?

June 2013.
Why are you taking this one if you didn't do any studying? Cancel preemptively and wait until at least December. Go through some study material.
