What experimental would you least like to see Saturday?

Post by msquaredb » Thu Oct 04, 2012 9:44 am

Personally...LG for me. I can barely hold my head together through one section. Taking two exhausts me, and I worry about which was which.

I'd love an experimental LG.

I would be content with an extra LR as well. Would love and extra RC.

RC, I had an expirmental RC in June and it sucked...it didn't help that the 2 RC sections I had were the first 2 sections of the test, it was exactly what I didn't want.

I, too, would love another experimental LG. I had one in June, could tell by the feel of the games, solved it and took a bathroom break.

I might be able to recognize an experimental LR (some say it's obvious to them but I've only taken the test once and my sample size is 1, LG), but I don't think I could recognize an experimental RC.. and a few who were strong in RC told me the experimental RC was the toughest section they had seen (including 65)... not the way I would want to start my test!!! (their form was RC-RC-X-X-X)

I had LR-LGX-RC-LR-LG and I'd be happy with that or something similar again... really anything that didn't start RC-RC would make me happy.

Yep. I usually finish each passage in 6 minutes and miss 1 or 0 on RC, but that experimental one was so hard that I didn't finish and was less than confident about half the answers. It definitely contributed to me canceling my score.

i had experimental RC in june and i didn't think it was so bad. one was easy and the second was a little tougher. don't know which was which because they don't release the answers from overseas tests

Yea experimental LG would be best.

I was thinking about 3 LR and that would be the worst but then i thought about getting 2 RC right after the other. That would be brutal.

I would MOST like to see RC, followed by LR, followed by Games.

RC and LR would be mental endurance tests but I don't think I'd find them too taxing.

My performance on Games is spottier because I sometimes have difficulty finishing in time. If we got an experimental Games section that was particularly difficult, it would definitely give me some anxiety.

This happened to me in June as well. It is pretty much the worst possible scenario.

ETA: Three LR in a row would be worse I guess.

Worst Case:
RC-RC-LR-LR-LG

Best Case:
LG-LR-LG-LR-RC

Really hoping for LG in the 1st half for a confidence boost

Despite my extensive prep I have trouble staying conscious during RC, let alone intensely focused. Hoping for an LG experimental.

I'm terrible at LG, but would still prefer an extra LG section.

3 LR's would be too draining.

Not taking this one, taking December, but would hate to see 2 RCs. LG's are fun (for me, atleast), almost like a break from the test which is why I like to start studying off with an LG section or a few games. LRs seem to get easier the more I do and the longer I'm in the LR zone. RC is torture, just pure torture. Race against the clock, know I'm going to do relatively bad, most draining. Just not fun.

Then again, although LG is fun you run a higher risk of running into a killer game that floors you and that could make deciding to cancel or not difficult assuming you did great on the other one.

This. If I see 2 RCs back to back at the start of the test, there's a good chance I rip up my test, throw it in the proctors face, and leave.

Two RCs is too much. In June I had RC-RC to start my test. It's grueling.

I wanna echo the above. Took in June (2011). Having 2 RCs, with your 5th section being the RC that counts, is incredibly mind-frying. Fuck Kate Chopin.

LR. 3 rounds of 23-26 questions and multi-tasking approaches would make my brain hurt. RC would be acceptable just because it's reading and I don't mind the questions, even if the subjects suck sometimes. LG would be ideal - I've been drilling so many that I wouldn't be fazed.

Imagine how ridic LR-LR-LR-RC-LG would be.
