Why would B not suffice as an answer?
Is it because it is broader?

Nope, that answer doesn't make the conclusion true. Remember, chimpanzees ONLY lived in forests. If the whole area was savanna, we would conclude that no chimpanzees lived there, not that they lived on the savanna. We have to work within the world of the stimulus.
